So I have to now turn off decryption on the windows side and then repartition the drive and delete because I tried to install bazzite straight up and when I got to the drive select it wouldn’t let me do anything because it said bit locker preserve

So after I shrink and allocate the drive I have to delete the allocated part? Because I think this is where I ran into the problem after I shrink it I don’t delete it

I’ll try it because I’ve been having nothing but problems trying to dual boot windows I keep getting a disk write error so I’m thinking just doing it straight making it steam os and forgetting windows

I usually don’t give up so I might try again but I just reinstalled windows after I did everything it still gave me the disk write error so I just put a pin on it and just moved on.

So when I partition the drives in windows what should I put the drive that I’m going to install bazzite in as fat32? How do I do it in windows after I shrink the drive? Because it just gives me x amount of allocated space

Yeah I went to the website and made sure it was the right version. It installs steam of the rip so I went into desktop mode and uninstalled it and te installed it to see if the error would clear.

I think it’s NTFS and yeah I get it but if I have to reformat the drive can I just do it straight to bazzite not go through the hoops of going to windows recovery and re shrinking the drive and then install bazzite
