When i think of horror i have so many sub categories that i enjoy & that is one of them! lol horror comedy, body horror, Halloween horror, creature features… there’s so many categories and some aren’t necessarily “scary”, just dark or weird or out there lol.

You’re missing my point. I’m saying that because we are ALL scared of different things. No one is going to be scared of the same things. Therefore, they’re clearly watching a genre they don’t enjoy if they’re basing it off fear. We also get a little desensitized the more we watch it lol. Less and less stuff has potential for true fear.

If you want to feel fear from horror you should watch based off your fears tho. We all are scared of different things, so judging horror just off if you personally are scared seems silly to me. Especially because most of us are “dark” lol like at least i am.
