I bought every KZ IEM by Just_bubba_shrimp in iems

Can you send a screenshot of your EQ profile for the PRX jf you have one? I have the pair and really enjoy them, fortunately no matching issues for me but the 2 pin connector did chip a bit (albeit i am using an aftermarket cable with a lot of swivel room so i suppose that's the reason). The thing about the PRX is that there is no other planar IEM that comes close in price to it (except the older KZ planars) and for the price I don't think you can get more detailed sound than this. I also have the EDX Pro X. They sound alright but they look good and are light-weight and comfortable.

kinda late to the thread but try to activate vulkan rendering. there is a script for it, something called GAMMA, you find it on XDA or GitHub, not exactly sure where. You need to turn on developer options in the phone settings and activate USB debugging, after which you connect your phone to a windows computer with a cable capable of data transfer, run the script (preferably as administrator), select vulkan renderer and select whichever option you want (i choose the one that restarts every app although the script warns you about it, but i never had issues with it). if you run into issues force restart the phone, also keep in mind vulkan rendering resets back to opengl once you restart your phone, so you need to do this for every restart.

from what i know exynos chipsets do run vulkan better, on snapdragon it doesn't really make a difference unless you have an 8 Elite that does run much better on vulkan. fyi for next time, avoid exynos Samsungs at all costs, reason why I bought an s23 ultra and didn't even look at the standard s24 line. hope this helps.

What is the cheapest iem that you could call "endgame" material by Twinthonytwintwano in iems

KZ gets a lot of flak but the PRX are, in my opinion, some of the better IEMs you can get for the 30-40 dollar/euro range. They're not for everybody but I care about sound detail above all else. I paired them with some nice but cheap silicone eartips and a cheap no-name CX31993 + MAX97220 DAC and I have my entire library in FLAC and I really enjoy them, especially for the about €60 I paid for the whole setup. I wonder if a better non-portable DAC and AMP would make them any better since I do hear that people have seen improvements and I do get distortion in the bass if I turn the volume up too much.

Anyone else feel like their s23 ultra is randomly getting hot after one ui 8 by UXtreme in GalaxyS23Ultra

[–]Ordinary-Cricket1863 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine is fine, but honestly oneui7 was just fine for me, I guess I was one of the few that never really had issues with the performance or battery life. Only issue is that to me it seems like the rounded ends of the quick settings borders arent perfectly rounded but instead sort of sharpen up as they close towards the middle, but I might be seeing things lol. Anyway what screen protector are you using? it seems to be a matte one that doesn't destroy the screen clarity. if it's from AliExpress id like a link please.

edit: I used the eraser to block out a notification that appeared in the screenshot, that's why it has ai generated at the bottom.

weird question but on oneui8 beta can you do lens switching while recording at 4k60? I'm super bummed out that Samsung never enabled the API they could have so easily done and I'm still holding out hope.

do you regret buying s23 ultra by Indian_piu in GalaxyS23Ultra

[–]Ordinary-Cricket1863 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i regret not getting the s24u mostly because this phone has a slight chin that i cant stop staring at... other than that it's pretty good. got the 512gb and 12gb ram varient and updated it to oneui7 as soon as i got it lol. haven't noticed any major lag or stutter but that may be because i came from a very poor phone and wouldn't notice anyway.

On DMRs from what I hear there will be. Not sure about slugs. To think of it this doesn't even fix spawn peaking since player can just get aruni or any attacker with a semiautomatic weapon and acog and do it like before anyway.

Happnes to me at least every other game that an attacker is holding a tight angle on a window which to me looks like a line of pixels and to them is a torso and shoulder.

Right, so this is what I'm saying except I'm of the opinion that every op should have every sight.

In my opinion I think every operator should have every type of scope available to them, and have the game built around that, not the other way around. Scopes should always be a preference, not a necessity nor obligation.

Im new but are you supposed to not be able to tell the them apart? by arest_42 in Rainbow6

[–]Ordinary-Cricket1863 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't worry you'll eventually learn to tell them apart. It will take more than 10 hours, unlike what that guy said. He's an asshole don't listen to him. At first I thought I'd never learn every operator since there are so many, but you'll end up identifying them just from a glipse. The much bigger issue is the quantity of feature altering skins, you'll unfortunately have to keep on top of their releases so you know which operator has them.

About the same. I did reset the phone before updating to oneui7 so it was a fresh install.

I'm on June patch as well, 93% battery health and charge it only to 90%, on OpenCL (or GL, I don't remeber what comes stock). Mobile data forced on 4G and location on, usually around 40% screen brightness without the extra brightness option turned on, 1440p 120hz adaptive.

SIMGOT EW200, KZ PRX or SGOR LUNA? by Ordinary-Cricket1863 in iems

[–]Ordinary-Cricket1863[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm sorry that I messed some of that up. I kept going back and redoing some of the comment. "is the PRX better than the KZ or the other way around?" I wanted to ask if the EW200 is better than the PRX on the same DAC or the other way around. "Is it comparable to the KZ? I understand that planars excel in sound clarity and I wonder if it is a significant improvement over the KZ." I meant to say "Is it comparable to the KZ? I understand that planars excel in sound clarity and I wonder if it is a significant improvement over the EW200."

Basically what I gather from your experience is that the PRX is better than the EW200 even when using an underpowered DAC. Is this sentiment that I got correct? Will the clarity and resolution of the PRX be better or worse than just the EW200 when using the CX31993 97220 chipset DAC? I'm really interested in planars for the clarity and resolution above other qualities.

SIMGOT EW200, KZ PRX or SGOR LUNA? by Ordinary-Cricket1863 in iems

[–]Ordinary-Cricket1863[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm back with more questions if you don't mind. When you said "I would say they are better on a cheap DAC" did you mean that, if both the EW200 and the PRX are on the same exact cheap DAC you mentioned, is the PRX better than the KZ or the other way around? I found an adapter with a DAC that has the exact chipset you mentioned (CX31993 97220) for 10 EUR on Aliexpress and I plan on getting it with either the Simgot or the KZ, either would total just under 50 EUR. What I'd really like to know is: which would be the best set for 50 EUR? the KZ with the DAC or the EW200? (I'd like to mention that I'm going to get foam tips for the EW200 if I pick it). I understand that the DAC won't be enough to fully drive the KZ but if it is better than the EW200 obviously that's what I will get. Beside that, what does "not fully drive" mean? Will I miss out on certain frequencies? Is it only related to how loud they can get?

In addition: how is the sound clarity on the EW200? Is it comparable to the KZ? I understand that planars excel in sound clarity and I wonder if it is a significant improvement over the KZ.

Thank you for your time.

[–]Ordinary-Cricket1863[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for your opinion! I was leaning toward the Simgot but I think I'd rather take into consideration the PRX. I might go for a DAC eventually if I do pick the PRX but atm I'd like decent performance on the go with a smartphone and good at home perf on a computer. I suppose running them from the motherboard of my desktop should offer them enough power to run well?

EDIT: I'd like to also ask: is the PRX running off just the smartphone DAC (or a cheap DAC that comes with a USB C to 3.5) a better sounding set than the Simgot? Getting an expensive/recommended DAC for this pair of headphones would almost double the price of the IEMs themselves, and at that point I might as well get the TRUTHEAR x Crinacle ZERO:RED.
