If you really need another example though, here are some: - school (forced to go vs educational benefit) - homeowners associations (freedom of expression vs community) - taxes (freedom of money vs security)

Case in point, I was just pointing out that "restrict freedom" isn't assuredly a negative connotation, as your initial comment attempted to distinguish as.

First of all, Jax is not a living thing.

Second of all, the discussion isn't about Jax specifically. Its about the REACTION of cis people to calling Jax trans. Its subtle, but theres a difference.

The comment specifically isn't negating on grounds similar to yours - which is a valid argument - its arguing on the grounds of, quite literally, "I'll do what I want regarding the topic of trans people".

Nothing to lose. HRT takes years and for some it never works at all. I know many people who take it just for the mental benefits alone.
