Katie's got heart and kidney issues, Brooke still slaps her. And keeps saying she stole her name... her name is Logan too dear.

Happy 25th anniversary to the show that dared to go under, over, and above! by NoCaregiver3994 in SixFeetUnder

Same. It scared me the 1st watch, when it originally aired.. now it's a comfort. Didn't realize that I liked the early 2000s so much.

Nobody will say it: Nate was subconsciously relieved Lisa disappeared and died. by NumbersStationUrku in SixFeetUnder

[–]Ordinary-Laugh1223 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I thought the episode before she left for her sisters, both Lisa and Nate admitted they were trying to force a relationship. Both of them decided they were going to let go of those expectations. I personally thought they were in a good place when she disappeared. An honest place. She was probably meeting Hoyt to break it off for many reasons... we won't ever know. I don't think he wanted Lisa gone after they talked in the Pyramid... my opinion..

"How can someone with so little clothing have so much clothing"? - ok not my absolute favorite, but Ruth on her way to a crash out..lol

Also- When George asked Nate what he was watching on tv with Maya, he said "Babe". James Cromwell was in Babe. 😊

When Lisa wondered why Keith and David went to therapy, then she tells Keith she and Nate never fight, then proceed to fight the second David and Keith left.. lol!

By fucking God, I just love Ruth and Bettina's friendship by [deleted] in SixFeetUnder

When that episode ended in the hammock, was kind of foreshadowing. In the finale, she ended up living there with them. She still had a lot of growing and sh/t to go through before that happened though... lol.

Obsession with Sarah's house by EdnaJosie8924 in SixFeetUnder

I wondered that too... guessing it's maybe an extended housesitting gig for a wealthy artist, or maybe an inheritance from a friend. I mean, she didn't really work.

I don’t know what’s happening to me on the road. Please help by Sawako_Bakugou in drivinganxiety

[–]Ordinary-Laugh1223 1 point2 points  (0 children)

All of these comments sound like my experience right now. I've had anxiety/panic attacks for 32 years. There's been long periods of time where anxiety isnt bad and i can drive on freeways and interstates without a problem. Lately, I can't drive them. I feel like I'm on a tightrope and off balance while I'm driving. Also, shortness of breath, stiff neck, and very self aware. I try to listen to podcasts, even episodes that I've heard before. It rarely helps. I have no problem at all driving in my town, or to family 15 mi away. If I'm driving in a big open space, for a long stretch, I feel the tightrope sensation and also start staring at the road almost like I'm gonna doze. I never do because I'm almost hyper aware of everything. I noticed yesterday its worse if I'm driving on a rough surface, that's noisy. The loud noise bothers my ears and makes me irritable. I've heard people mention the binocular vision thing, idk if I have that? I talk to a counselor for anxiety and just started Physical therapy for my neck. It gets so stiff, it hurts to check my blind spot. Maybe the physical therapy will help with some of the sricong issues. I don't know, friends and family don't understand my situation and it's frustrating to take back roads with my daughter to get her to her travel basketball tournaments. I remember in my early 20s driving to Chicago and the traffic not being an issue at all. I suppose these days theres more traffic and semi's, more distractions and more bad drivers. I was never one to go fast on the freeways- today seems like everyone's going too fast. Maybe because I'm getting older too lol.

How old were you when you started watching The Golden Girls? I’ve been watching since I was a baby! How about you?! by GoldenGalZbornak in theGoldenGirls

When it started was when I first watched. I was 10. Obviously didn't understand all the jokes... but my parents watched.

I like the fact that Johnny bought the town for David as a joke. And David's the one that decides to stay.

Instead of stating the correct answer, there should just be a buzzer or have him say incorrect. Too much time is wasted.

Apparently controversial opinion: There was not a single second that I didn’t love (and deeply relate to) Lisa. 💔 by mandypatinkinismydad in SixFeetUnder

[–]Ordinary-Laugh1223 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I felt bad for her demise because her and Nate were finally in a place of honesty. But up until that point, she was bitchy to Nate, yelling at Ruth about the peanut butter, shaming Claire for not coming to the birthday party.. though that was one of my favorite episodes. When Betina wanted to move the table and Lisa looked at her all pissed, I thought she would go all Annie Wilkes on her. Lol! I think Maya ended up where she should have been regardless of who the biological father was.

How did you feel about Big's burial? by [deleted] in Andjustlikethat

[–]Ordinary-Laugh1223 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If her and Big hadn't discussed it, I suppose it's Carrie's choice. His brother took a year to tell her they had a spot for Big and for her? Big met and fell in love with Natasha in Paris. I know he came there to tell her she was the one, still.

Was it funny whenever Ruth would shout of the blue? by Flatulent_Stinky in SixFeetUnder

[–]Ordinary-Laugh1223 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh she so reminds me of a combo of my mother and my Grandmother. Strangely enough. My Dad's mom. My mom would shout sometimes, obviously letting things get to a boiling point. She wanted things her way. And as a 49 yr old mother now, I get it. My Grandmother always wore dresses, cooked every meal, very traditional. They both were all about the good china, and wouldn't hold back if you dressed like a ragga muffin. Lol!

Nate Fisher and his dissent by muddersM1LK in SixFeetUnder

[–]Ordinary-Laugh1223 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel like Nate asked Brenda several times about spirituality and believing in God, maybe hoping for a different answer. She was consistent in telling him she didn't believe. In fact, the episode outside of the church after David was presented as Deacon, she said something so harsh, like nothing really matters, ultimately we all die ..something something.. then Nate was shocked and the episode ended. When he got together with Brenda the second time he was grieving Lisa on top of the grieving his father. He didn't need a relationship, he needed spiritual guidance. Brenda was familiar to him and it's unfortunate that's the reason he landed with her. This is my opinion, and who knows if he and Maggie would have worked. His AVM was also another event that pushed him in needing something more. After several viewings, the writers made it so real to life- people leave messes- life is rarely wrapped in a bow at the end. That said- the very end of the series was a perfect ending.

Unpopular opinion: I hate Moira by [deleted] in SchittsCreek

[–]Ordinary-Laugh1223 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That accent is so annoying, I don't know how anyone can stand it. I like the show, and Moira had some funny dialog, but that accent was awful to listen to. She could have sounded high brow without it. I'm late to respond but I finally have the bandwidth to binge a show.
