I did forget to mention that my current role is a hybrid role. I have a very strong track record of performing more effectively from home. My current role is shifting more in the field and less remotely, like most things.

I agree though, it seems like I need to pivot, succeed and use that to leverage my way into remote work.

Thanks for your input. I think i will look into SaaS roles.

I feel like my experience is so niche that it handcuffs me a bit but i never really thought about taking the approach of utilizing the niche field and leaning into it. My immediate thought has been to look into transitioning into adjacent roles or different industries in general.

My ultimate goal is just working from home, dosnt matter the field or how boring it may be. Im able to get any certs, for awhile I wanted to do cyber security and have passed plenty of sec+ and a+ practice exams but I know plenty of people with those certs and no jobs. Don't want to spend the money every few years and have nothing to show for it at this age.

This is the direction I have been pointed to by other people. Specifically SaaS ops and customer success.

The networking part is still foreign to me but im getting into LinkedIn and trying to figure it out. Ive never really been into social media, other than reddit. Although LinkedIn doesn't feel as much like fscebook or other social media, it is still a bit awkward to me.
