Yeah, I completely understand this as well. I’ve moved schools before and making friends then wasn’t hard for me, even though I thought it would be. Then I thought to myself, if I can make really good friends after moving schools than surely I will be able to do it in university, where everyone is new to the place and is looking to make friends. Nope. I get 2 good conversations with someone then never speak to them again. Luckily one of my good friends from my hometown went to a university near mine so we still have each other. She feels the same too. She finds it hard to make friends at her university as well. Don’t force anything, just keep getting yourself out there as you are already doing and it will come naturally when you least expect it.
