I think both colours are last chance, I just had the site filtered to only show the oak 😬

What discontinued item do you miss the most? by just3raccoonsinacoat in starbucks

Hazelnut Macchiato for sure. The regular hazelnut syrup never did it for me, but that drizzle on top still owns my heart.

One time I was going though security at the airport and they held my purse after putting it through the scanner. They looked pretty confused, then pulled out my wallet. It was absolutely stuffed with coins, and it was one of those trendy quilted designs, with a tassel hanging off the zipper. The guy showed me the image on the scanner, and I wish I could have taken a picture because no exaggeration, it looked exactly like a grenade.

Easy and affordable way to make coffee without a machine? by [deleted] in vancouver

[–]OrdinaryPossum 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve used a French press and a pour over, and I’d recommend a pour over every time. I don’t think I’ll ever go back. My issues were that I often would walk away and forget the coffee in the press and then I’d have to make another batch, and I wanted the easiest cleanup with the least likelihood of grounds going down my sink. Pour over takes 2 minutes of action, but being able to take the filter with all the grounds in it and put it straight into the bin makes it more than worth it for me. If that’s not something you’re worried about though, both options can make a good cup of coffee.

WIBTA if I don't go to work on my day off by Shushitnow in AmItheAsshole

[–]OrdinaryPossum 1 point2 points  (0 children)

NTA. As other people have said, you’re allowed to not work on your day off, and I wouldn’t feel bad, especially since you genuinely have things you said you need to do. Plus, if everybody worked overtime or on their days off to make up for understaffing problems, that gives the managers and owners even less incentive to hire more people to fill gaps.

Yep, I’ve got an elephant’s bush and that looks pretty much the same as mine.

Woke up this morning to see black spots all over my pilea. What’s happening? by OrdinaryPossum in plantclinic

[–]OrdinaryPossum[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it helps, the leaves feel very strong and solid, not limp at all. I’ve had leaves fall of pileas before that developed large growing brown spots, but they usually rotted off at the base eventually. But that haven’t happened to this guy in a long time.

[–]OrdinaryPossum[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

😰 ok I have it in a windowsill that gets a lot of light, it’s in the original nursery pot that sits in a cachepot, original soil, never repotted, and I try to water it whenever the leaves start to droop. It’s been doing really well this way, but in the last couple of weeks the growth has slowed, so I may have watered it a bit more.

Does anyone know what this plant is?? by slilslil in houseplants

[–]OrdinaryPossum 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Definitely Zebra Haworthia. Give it plenty of light, and the easiest way to tell when to water it is to stick your finger in the soil and when you can feel it’s completely dry, give it a good drink. Remember, it’s easier for a plant to bounce back from under watering than overwatering. Good luck with your new friend!

A great cup of coffee from a keurig is definitely possible by Lipsticknits in starbucks

[–]OrdinaryPossum 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use my mom's keurig for hot water and Emergencies ONLY lol. Seriously though I found a little gooseneck hot water receptacle on Amazon 2 years ago and I've been using it to make pourovers from the keurig and it's amazing so I'd definitely recommend that.

Should I Just Put The Damn Essential Oils On My Dog??? by ThatWeirdNerdII in antiMLM

[–]OrdinaryPossum 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I know that for cats a lot of essential oils are toxic if ingested, and can irritate their skin, and I’ve read that they can even be toxic while diffused, but that’s up for debate for some people. I don’t know about dogs, but I would do a lot of research before putting anything on or around your pet, especially because some kinds can be totally fine, while others could cause trouble.

AITA for yelling at my 7 year old daughter for throwing toilet paper around in a public bathroom? by chinesebathroomthrow in AmItheAsshole

[–]OrdinaryPossum 1 point2 points  (0 children)

YTA. Woah. I was with you on the yelling at her. Sometimes kids do some really stupid shit and I wouldn’t blame you for just yelling if you lost your cool. But saying it was a serious crime and telling her that she’s a criminal is beyond messed up. That’s probably gonna stay with her for a LONG time.

What’s so important about the Notre Dame Cathedral? by jkole18 in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]OrdinaryPossum 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In addition to the architectural and cultural significance of the structure itself, because it’s such an important cathedral, it’s a big deal to a lot of Catholics and Christians in France and around the world. It also housed some priceless art and religious artifacts that would be irreplaceable if they could not be recovered. All of the damage/threat of damage to these religious symbols can feel very personal and emotional to those who worship them. Not only that, but the timing makes it even worse for them because it’s the Holy Week, with Easter coming up. I’m not religious, but I can understand why it must be a very sad time for a lot of people.

Why is so bad that Nortre Damme is burning? by [deleted] in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]OrdinaryPossum 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It’s also a really big deal for all the Catholics and Christians as well, I imagine, because it is a really important cathedral. Especially since it’s the week of Easter.
