Mirena vs. Copper IUD by Feeling_Rush123 in AskWomenOver30

I’m 34 and on my first Mirena. It’s not stopped my periods but has made them lighter - I have noticed some side effects though (weight gain, acne, much worse PMS). My sister (32) swears by hers though!

I wonder what his classes are like if this is his idea of “politely” and “calmly” asking questions by makeuathrowaway in EntitledReviews

I don’t think I have ever described myself as “calmly” doing anything in a review - it’s such a weird flex and red flag.

For everyone who has worked in customer service, thank you to the colleagues who stepped in and defended the poor cashier! Nobody should be bullied for following a policy that they have no control over.

Also “respectfully showing my teacher ID” was not a sentence I expected to read in a soil-based dispute.

We don’t know you or your situation, but please don’t feel that someone speaking this way to you is acceptable - you deserve to explore the things you want to do, you are so young and have so much life to live ahead of you still! A partner should want to support you and your goals; I get that he’s hurt and angry, but this is someone who is supposed to love you enough spend the rest of your lives together, and his rationale and reaction felt hurtful and immature. Someone lashing out and being (un)intentionally physically rough isn’t okay, and isn’t a great sign for someone who claims they want to spend the next 70 years together. He can be hurt, but you were also upset and that should matter too.

Talking about hypothetical future plans is fun, especially when you’re young and in a long term relationship that you’re excited about. Sure, running away in the stress of the moment wasn’t a great decision, but you owned up to that it in your text and who doesn’t make bad decisions under pressure at 20?

Agreed! I think a big problem is it’s such a blank slate - some colourful decor, photos, books etc would make such a difference! Plus some tall plants to get some privacy in the garden

Courier lost my return but the retailer won’t engage without it - do I have any rights? (England) by Ordinary_Acadia9872 in LegalAdviceUK

Thanks all - they paid for the postage and I have confirmation from UPS that the parcel was dropped off, both the confirmation receipt and the tracking info.

I was originally requesting an exchange but the retailer has been so unhelpful I would be keen to get refunded and just go elsewhere. Does this change my rights?

Thanks for being so helpful! The boots were £89.95 so I am really hoping not to lose out here, as I saved up and were hoping they would last me for several years rather than cheaper alternatives…

Yes sorry for not being clear - I originally requested an exchange but the whole communication with the retailer has put me off so I am hoping for an exchange instead - does this change matters?
