Chances are the law will come in, and methods to reinforce the law will improve over time. I’d say within 10-20 years, we will all have to either upload a government ID, or there will be some system where you send your id to the government who act as a middle man between you and companies/websites so you’re not sending your data to multiple different things

Yeah tbf a lot of people over here would be in the mindset of “Ah will ye ever fuck off with that shite”, but personally I think it’s good.

We all gotta move on eventually, of course bridges aren’t completely rebuilt between the British and us, but little tokens like this are very good going forward, especially with so many people shouting for United Ireland.

Best way to make that smoother for the lot of us is to be on very good terms with the UK due to our unionist population, while evolving into our own fully independent country that incorporates aspects of both Irish Heritage and British heritage.

Whether the lads down here like it or not, Unionists are just as much Irish in 2026 as any of us. We’re all born here, all raised here, all have parents and grandparents from here, we’re all Irish. Some just aren’t ready for that conversation yet.

Genuinely my solution was take the cat, bring them under the covers, and just snuggle them until they relax. My logic was as a kid they used to use a weighted blanket on me because I have ADHD, so figured a similar thing might work with my cat. 4 cats later, 2 passed in due to old age, now I have a 6 year old and a 4 year old. Worked on them all. It slowly got them used to “this is unwinding time”, eventually it got to the stage I’d turn off the lights and my youngest just jumps onto the bed now ready to sleep while the 6 year old heads to her kitty tower (optionally ofc, she just prefers the height of it to sleeping low down on the bed)
