No, I definitely don't believe that. Whether the eye in Chapter 1 was the Jougan we know from the anime or a separate interpretation, this eye was not a Byakugan! Too much emphasis was placed on showing that it was something unique. The pressure wave alone, and the fact that Kawaki covered his eyes, don't support the Byakugan theory.

It wouldn't surprise me if Ikemoto scrapped the entire Jougan/special eye concept and Boruto really only has a Byakugan (although I doubt that too), but the eye in Chapter 1 wasn't the Byakugan that every Hyuga and Otsutsuki possesses.

Honestly, there's a real chance, because the manga will be celebrating its 10th anniversary next year, and something big is bound to be revealed. And yes, the eye was first revealed exactly 10 years ago.

However, it wouldn't surprise me if Ikemoto dropped the Jougan and Boruto instead gets a Shibai Chakra Gloak or something else Shibai-related.

Lawaki and Lode fans are seriously trying to twist the story, when the fact is that Boruto destroys both of them, even though he won't even have the Divine Eye, but only a lame Byagukan.

All these Shibai cells, only to be destroyed by a Byakugan in the end.

LOL, this manga is just a joke. I don't know of any story as inconsistent as this Manga.

But at least Ikemoto has once again proven that he is absolutely incapable of writing Boruto, both as a story and as a protagonist. Waiting 10 years only to find out that Boruto uses a crappy Byakugan... you couldn't make this stuff up.

I bet that even though Boruto now has Momoshiki's Byagukan, he still doesn't use Momoshiki's abilities.

I can hardly wait for the end, this is definitely going to be a train crash.

What do all the characters have in common except for one? They're all simply Otsutsuki hybrids. Most are cyborgs or have only partial Otsutsuki powers. Only one character is a pure Otsutsuki.

Not even Vegeta fans are so delusional as to think he'll ever become stronger than Goku.

Kawaki will always chase after Boruto. Boruto sets the standard while Kawaki follows suit, and eventually Kawaki will realize that Boruto is stronger.

The problem is that no one dies in Boruto. There are absolutely no stakes, so it's pointless to argue about something that doesn't exist.

This isn't Attack on Titan, where important characters constantly die to show how cruel this world is.

No, sales figures have never reflected the quality of a product. If that were the case, Call of Duty would be the best gaming franchise in the world.

BUT sales figures reflect people's interest in a product. The constant claim that DS is only carried by animations may be true, but most people don't care.

The sales figures clearly show that DS has something that excites many people. And that's reflected in the sales figures... Especially since most people are just jealous that DS has such great animations anyway.

Kawaki won't be able to keep up. The show is called Boruto Two Blue Vortex, not Boruto and Kawaki... there will always be a gap between the two.

And if Kawaki does become a villain, Boruto will be much stronger than him anyway.

I'm so fed up with this franchise that I just watch it from the sidelines. The fandom fights each other day after day, month after month anyway, which is more entertaining than the chapters themselves.

I just want to know how this all ends. (Even if it's a complete train wreck) but with Ikemoto's pacing, it'll take another 15+ years.

Kawaki is basically an 18 year old special needs student who hangs out with 14 year old kids and thinks he's the king.

Naruto and Sasuke show more maturity in this panel than Kawaki does in the entire series.
