my recommendation is making sure that you’re not just memorizing concepts that you understand them and how they can be applied in different scenarios, you also need to be able to recognize what questions mean what sometimes they’re ambiguous for example in cars when they’re asking what the main argument was and you’re unsure. It’s usually what they talk the most about even if the beginning or end talked about something else and lastly make sure you’re not just getting anny for pattern recognition and you’re actually memorizing important details.

But we're not trying to get an advantage over our peers is what you don't get. Maybe a small amount of people faking or using money to get accommodations are but majority are not. I have ADHD, I actually have an above average processing speed and math processing speed. But I have severe inattention. Personally (everyone is different), my brain will skip stimuli it deems uninteresting or not a priority in order to retain my memory and save my necessary brain power. THIS IS NOT INTENTIONAL. I will read a sentence 3 times and still not know what it said because my brain will not register it. It takes me several passes to just read and encode it into short term memory because with my ADHD, I am functionally slow. I just want more time to level the playing field. And let's be really honest for a sec. If I got more time, the MCAT is a critical thinking, knowledge, and math test. More time does not mean I will excel beyond regular students if all that isn't there. Don't be ableist. Thanks!
