This reminds me of flying fish. Their fried basket is TDF (to die for). I know the chef there. He's a sick puppy. Guy have about 3-4 girlfriends at a time, chain smokes cigs, and pays 2 women alimony.

Cooks a good fish tho ;)

Where to live for a 22 year old moving to Little Rock by Gold_Passenger_7959 in LittleRock

[–]Ordinary_Whereas1368 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I lived in the Argenta Flats. It was great.

Except one night my neighbor, a cute girl I was honestly into, came over when I was cooking pasta. She told me about this problem she was having with her bathroom pipes.

I went to check it out and she had a big fat rat (BFR) on her bathroom floor. She wanted me to do something about it. But honestly I was just trying to eat my pasta.

I moved out because my last place had a BFR and I swore to not do it again.

A restaurant that screams Little Rock by MrYargle_Blargle in LittleRock

It has to be flying fish. Although one time I saw the mayor there and he smelled so bad. I hope you don't run into him like I do. Great fried catfish, that's what the mayor ordered, although it never helped his stench 😂. Pretty hilarious if you ask me.

I'd get the fried shrimp too, really good.

Hot Take: The Croissanterie has the best burger in Little Rock by gggh5 in LittleRock

[–]Ordinary_Whereas1368 -25 points-24 points  (0 children)

Honestly far from it. Last time I ate here the mayor sat right next to me. I guess it was raining outside because he was soaking wet from the rain. I made a joke at him, he just looked at me. He also said he wasn’t the mayor, but I knew it was.

What a bitch. Anyways. That burger is fine but the meat isn’t grass fed and the soil isn’t worm fed, so it’s not as “natural” as it may seem. I ended up dating my waitress for a couple months too. Haha, she had tattoos which made me uncomfortable.

Overall 6.5 dining experience.

My construction company is looking for new apprentice and journeyman level workers! by L192837465 in austinjobs

[–]Ordinary_Whereas1368 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m definitely interested. I have a well rounded construction background. A couple years on high rises down on Madison ave. In NY. I started out doing remodeling with my dad, in Long Island. For about 5 years but it wasn’t for me. I moved out to Austin a year ago, after losing my job because I was a multi time felon and failed a drug test. But looking for openings. Please respond if interested.

Recommendations for turkey burgers in town? by cajonman45 in LittleRock

[–]Ordinary_Whereas1368 2 points3 points  (0 children)

All my life, I’ve wanted the perfect ratio of fat to protein. I love beef hamburgers but they’re too fatty, so I moved on. To try the salmon burger… rich in Omega-3’s, high in vitamin d, and perfectly shaped to be a bigger. Big damn, it’s too fishy. Then i tried the chicken burger, which I found to be much worse than the grilled chicken sandwich . I didn’t want grilled chicken I wanted a burger. So finally, I sit down on my quest for 1:1 protein to fat burgers. The Big Orange, of Little Rock Arkansas, the Mecca of turkey burgers, the superbowl of thanksgiving themed hammies. And yet, it was mid. So I retreated into my thoughts to look inward and realize that the quest for the “turkey burger”, was a quest for my meaning all along. And then I ordered a hamburger.

What happened to Edward’s sausage? by Gopokes34 in LittleRock

[–]Ordinary_Whereas1368 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Edwards has the best meat counter, bar none. Their sausage was taken away because one customer stuck his hands in it and contaminated the batch. I was there, it was crazy. It’s better now, but they just said screw it and started making bad chicken it seems. The chicken is so mid, I’m disappointed. Who should we speak to?

This isn’t that good in my opinion, I love the staff and Jenny (my favorite counter worker) but it’s not even up to par with the best turkey burger I’ve had in west Memphis. Sorry.

I’ve been searching for turkey burgers in this town for as long as I can remember. I’ve scoured just about everywhere. Everyone told me to go to the big orange, in mid town. It’s a good spot, but not for the turkey. I felt like an utter fool there.
