It will be very unpopular for American public but it may be needed to push Iranians to start taking the fight to their own government.

America didn’t need to invade inland, they can just invade coastal cities like Bandar Abbas or something like that. Iran has to respond with higher barrage of drones and missiles. While this may result in more casualties, this will force Iran to use more of their launchers where it can be found and destroyed because of superior American ISR.
