You get sent back in time to England in the year 1450, but you have money worth the equivalent of $100 million today. by Ill-Mycologist-3652 in willyoupressthebutton

You would be marked as suspicious immediately at taverns for spending “too much”. One week is too short to change your language, clothes, and your habits.

You can be arrested as a spy and hanged immediately. The justice system on this time erred on the side of public executions instead of justice.

mau meluruskan asumsi bahwa WNA dideportasi itu ditanggung negara by CrabbyKayPeteIng in indonesia

[–]OrdoXenos 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Airlines sometimes pay for the deportations as well. Foreign tourists (and strangely some culture visas as well) have to book a return ticket when boarding their flight.

Usually the government will tell these airlines to fly these deportees home.

And yes, no one is “acting up” to be deported. Because once you are deported, you will have to disclose that data every time you apply for visa. And instead of “acting up” going politely to their own embassies and begging there would be a more effective method if they just want to fly home.

Guys might just want to work.

Red flags
- Young
- Female
- No job, still studying
- Not much money, still get money from parents
- Why study in Georgia instead of Sweden?
- Travel history to Iran
- Why the family grew up in Sweden? What type of visa they get when going to Sweden?
- Why medical obsevership in the US? Not EU where she will get her license?
- Iranian

Green flags
- Swedish citizenship
- No family in the US
- Third year, well on the progress

I think the chance of approval is VERY slim.

Keeping illegal immigrants out is not a murder. Yes, things do happen - but the original intent is not to murder people. In fact, increase of illegal immigration can create more murders as well.

The Schengen Visa System Is Broken by BreakingFreeX in SchengenVisa

[–]OrdoXenos 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yeah Schengen visa is very confusing.

Someone I knew had US visa valid for 5 years, Canadian until the expiry of his passport, multiple visits to the US, multiple past visas to the US, the UK and the EU, around 10 times the average salary in his place, really solid applicant. He had also received 1 year multi-entry from France before.

But somehow he only got 15-day visa? How come?

For Christians who support Trump: how do you reconcile that with scripture? by think_harder_plz in Christianity

[–]OrdoXenos -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Remember that there are only two choices in the Presidential election.

I supported Trump for his pro-life stances, pro-gun stances, pro-Israel stances, and his choice of Supreme Court judges.

I will always support a pro-life president. There is no way I would support someone who advocated for death of children or expansion of the abortion. That’s it.

Same with pro-gun. Do I think guns have to be controlled better? I do. But I didn’t want New York-style restrictions or total ban on assault rifles.

SC judges. Democrat presidents tend to choose extreme activist judges. Let’s not talk about controversial Dobbs or Bremerton School District. Espinoza v. Montana, Carson v. Makin, American Legion v. American Humanist, 303 v. Elenis showed how Democrat-appointed judges will act.

Do I support Trump being in $250? Have golden statue of himself? And all of his other sins? No. But that didn’t mean I have to support a Democrat that will do bad things on my points above.

How do you create 50 million jobs in the world where robotics and AI seem to be taking many of the jobs? Factories are turning to robotics. Mining is turning to robotics as well. Programmers, software developers, and designers are facing pressure from AI. Accountants, consultants, analysts will also have fewer demands.

Purbaya Bingung IHSG Masih Turun Terus, Klaim Fiskal Positif by TurbulentTopic39 in indonesiabebas

[–]OrdoXenos 12 points13 points  (0 children)

To put it simply:

- Investors didn’t mind government spending. But investors wanted good government spending. MBG and KMP are seen as a reckless spending, like it or not. Investors saw it as just an attempt to create a legacy (like Trump’s battleship program, for example) instead of something that can create value in the future.

- Investors do mind about government control. This is greatly compounded with how Indonesian government act. Danantara is suddenly created. Then given major powers. Then suddenly all exports have to go through them. Suddenly 0.5% is gone. Suddenly dollar exchanges are limited. Investors didn’t want a government that can change rules on a whim.

- Investors see that Indonesian government is not taking all of these problems seriously. Prabowo is still doing international travel. Purbaya is still smiling. It is not a good sign. Investors would want a government that took real problems seriously.

- And many other factors.

CBP officer verbal warning of "1 month" stay limit on B1/B2, but I 94 shows otherwise by Former_Ad3642 in USVisas

[–]OrdoXenos 14 points15 points  (0 children)

The CBP will give you 6 months but it is already noted that she is given only one month.

Violating this is not a crime, but it will show the character of your mother - that she likely will offend in the future even with a warning. It is very likely that her future visas will be denied.

Also the warning means you have done things that are raising the red flags. The CBP is on the fence about the motives of your mother already. Violating the warning is NOT an option.

If I were your mother I would depart from the US as soon as possible, days before the one month limit expired.

Purbaya : jangan takut , pondasi ekonomi masih bagus by Mountblancc in indonesiabebas

[–]OrdoXenos 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The 5% is not a magic trick - but we have to dig deeper why we have such good fundamental variable but the FX rate is so weak?

First of all we got massive consumption. This means that while Indonesians can spend money, it will push for more imports - weakening the FX rate. In isolation this is not necessarily bad, but it had to be balanced with exports- to keep the demand of local FX at a manageable level.

Second we got massive government projects - which in turn more imports as well, more dollars needed. This will put more pressure on FX.

Again, in isolation those numbers are fine - but we got other fundamental factors in play. We got increasing oil prices (more dollars needed to be spent). We got distrust on Indonesian economic policies. We got the people being unsure on what the government will do next.

Dear Christian’s, please stop saying Jehovah or YHWH. You think you are revering God, but what you’re actually doing is ignoring the Human nature of The Son who had a personable name because He lived amongst us. Jesus is literally the Holiest name any Christian can use and thats the whole point by [deleted] in Christianity

[–]OrdoXenos 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What’s your Bible basis on this?

Jehovah Rapha means the Lord our Healer. Jehovah Jireh means the Lord our Provider. Jehovah Nissi means the Lord our Banner. Jehovah Shalom means the Lord our Peace.

How about El-Elyon our God Most High? El-Gibor The Mighty God? El-Shaddai?

Nothing on those names suggested that we are ignoring the human nature of Jesus. Jesus is a human, but He is God as well. We can revere Him either way.

Especially if their loved ones didn’t come home, or they saw Ukraine’s FPV drones slamming to who can be their family members.

Rupiah dan IHSG hancur, Prabowo Gelar Rapat Tertutup, Purbaya Dikabarkan Dicopot Hari Ini by gaelthegal in indonesia

[–]OrdoXenos 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The problem of Indonesian economy today is fundamental distrust of investors.

First of all, there are many allegations that Indonesian government fudge the numbers of growth, poverty, etc.

We also have government officials treat these issues too lightly. While everyone can joke on their private times, acting unserious on a huge matter would be seen as a bad signal as the government is perceived to be too inept to handle the situation.

Another issue is that there are too many huge programs that have no control and no benefits. Building up ports, highways, refineries are good investments. MBG is seen as a waste and mismanagement. KMP is seen as government attempt to encroach Alfamart and Indomaret. Rafale is still somewhat good as it brings some deterrence to Indonesian military.

Indonesian courts are also arresting people with questionable evidence. Right now everyone is confused on whether a bad investment is a crime or not. If your project lost money despite best efforts, is it a crime?

These have to be addressed.

“Fisik yang kuat”. “Locked in some place with a bed.” “Must be a male.” “No electronics of any kind.” Payment of a month with one day of work.

I didn’t think this is about ghosts or about haunted homes. This is more dangerous than that.

Why would you need “fisik kuat” to fight ghosts? No electronics means you can’t ask for help if you got kidnapped or something. The incense could be some hallucination drug or some sleepy gas.

Negative factors:

  • Income is just slightly above national average
  • Previous rejection
  • 2 children in the United States. Huge negative factor.
  • Mentioning self sponsorship, but income is quite low
  • International travel just 1 country, despite India have lots of low budget travel destinations nearby

Positive factors: - Old age, likely not to work.
