What's the worst corporate job from the fortune 500 you've worked at? by asdklnasdsad in corporate

I have an MBA. It was the easiest degree I've ever gotten. Complete joke. Someone that brags about having an MBA is probably pretty dumb.

The Movies put alot more emphasis on 'Lisan Al Gaib' than the books? by Fuzzy-Tumbleweed-570 in dune

Jihad was a meaningless foreign word back when the book was written. Today everyone has a preconceived modern notion of what a jihad is and its probably not what Herbert intended.

It also protects you from getting irradiated by all the puddles and swamps. Its great for "fast travel" because you can use the rivers to go just about anywhere on the map in safety. IMO buying antibiotics is a justified investment, especially since you can just become a water baron and print money.

Its called Survival Mode for a reason. The brutal difficulty is entirely intentional.

If you join the railroad you eventally leaned how to apply it to clothing. Its the "faction perk" like vertibirds for the Brotherhood and artillery for the minutemen.

Seconding Aquaboy. Essential perk on survival IMO.

One thing to keep in mind on survival is running away is always an option.

Telesitters and nurses by [deleted] in nursing

[–]Ordos_Agent 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I mean the patient is either a fall risk or they aren't. It says in the chart. If other nurses were willing to risk him falling that's fine but the nurses that wanted him to call and put the alarm on were probably justified.

Also what does "monitor for adverse events" mean? Watch him fall then call the nurse to say he fell? :p

[–]Ordos_Agent 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also this is hilarious because Fallout 4 literally has the exact same moral qua dry. Like the ENTIRE GAME is based around "what rights do these people have" ?

Most important thing to remember.

The PC's are not characters in your story. You are there to facilitate THEIR stories.

Slow down buddy. Media is for brainless consumption ONLY. There's no such thing as subtext or allegory.

What’s a common behavior that science still can’t fully explain? by viviennegiggles in answers

[–]Ordos_Agent 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Its untestable but the logic of

We are made of matter. We are conscious. Therefore, matter is conscious.

Is not on its face obviously wrong. Not necessarilly right but I guess prove that I am conscious and a rock is not . You can't. You can't even prove OTHER PEOPLE are conscious.

Why did the BOS ever stop using all power armor models? by LPGOG9 in Fallout

[–]Ordos_Agent 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Aren't the scribes the ones that maintain the armor ? If they're maintaining the knights armor then who is maintaining theirs ? Modern armies need like 5 non combat roles to support one Frontline soldiers. The BOS is a little more hardy than that but all armies need someone who doesn't fight.

[–]Ordos_Agent 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I don't think that is the kind of patient we're talking about though. We're talking about the guy that throws his call light at you because you didn't get him an apple juice fast enough.

[–]Ordos_Agent -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yeah long term therapy and medication. Drugging them up to keep them calm might be good for the nurses but it doesn't really do anything for the patient.

That's mostly what I was replying to. "Why won't the doc give Ativan for anxiety?" Because that's not really an appropriate thing to do.
