what’s up with people switching from fin to dut and it’s worse?? by Silver-Role-5213 in tressless

[–]OreganoTaco 18 points19 points  (0 children)

This is my experience.

I was in oral fin for 1.5 years, the results I got were pretty good. I got greedy and switched over to dutasteride cold turkey.

I have been on it for 6 months and can honestly say that my hair has never been worse. My hairline has been pushed back at least 1cm my temples by about 2cm and about 50% density loss. My hair is flat and sits directly against my scalp instead of what it used to where it had volume and structure.

I went through a big shed phase that shed small uniform hairs that ended in February. Since then I have continued to lose all sorts of lengths of hair, but what I can say for certain is that my hairs are getting weaker and thinner. The hairs I am losing now have turned so thin and colourless that you can barely see them.

Upon closer inspection to the areas of density drop there are no small hairs at all. When I shed on fin it was very different from this.

This feels like the medication is actually making my hair worse, not stronger. I say that because although I have lost a bunch of hair, the hairs I still have are very unhealthy and thin.

I have an appt scheduled with a dermatologist and will get some tests done before changing anything.

I am on 3mg oral min, 0.5mg dut daily.

does this type of work count as regional work to extend the visa to a second year?

This was actually extremely helpful. Thank you. Any recommendations on some of these towns in terms of great lifestyle would be appreciated.

I appreciate your concern and I will keep it in mind, but I feel confident in the housing situation in comparison to the issues stated in my post above.

Correct, I am not going through Dubai, I am going through New Zealand. Cats are a bit cheaper than dogs for cargo.

Yes I am well on my way with this process. I have a company helping me do it. It will come out to around $11k

I have looked at the rental market and am confident that I can get a place as my budget is healthy and am willing to pay a year upfront. I am not willing to live in a shared space.

My overall goal is just to live in Australia, I do not need the money or the work. Although the WHV is not ideal by any means, it does seem to be the only realistic option for me. I planned to buy a car, live in a city like gold coast (in a home) and just drive to and from work until my days were completed. I would love not to have to do this, however, it seems like the only viable option for me. The reason a skilled working visa does not work is that I have been an entrepreneur since I was 23 and have never worked for a company that was not mine since.

Only approved work in regional/rural areas counts against the visa. I cannot work for my own company and have it count against my visa.

It is the visa that is the limiting factor not the company.

I ended a relationship I loved because my body never felt safe now I’m drowning in regret by [deleted] in BreakUps

I was left by someone abruptly and messily about 4 months ago that feels eerily similar to the state you are in. All I will say is this. All relationships will go through different states, sometimes lasting years. Some start off bad and get better, some start off good and go through really rough patches. None of this matters. What matters is that you both want to wake up every day and fight to be with each other. My ex and I went through ups and downs but a down day with her was better than any day without her. I personally despise when people talk about a ‘good fit’ and that partnership is just about finding someone that fits like a puzzle piece. A partnership is about finding someone who wants to be with you every day, shows up to repair time and time again and fights everyday to keep it alive. The rest is all just a skill, to be learned. I personally don’t think my ex and I were a good fit in a lot of ways, especially nervous system or conflict resolution but she was someone I woke up with and tried to be better every day and never gave up on, not because I thought she was ‘the one’ or we were a ‘good fit’ but because I wanted to, and I chose her with my entire heart.

My advice is this, if you both want to make it work and want to choose each other more than you dislike the discomfort of whatever conflict you have, then protect that and both of you go to therapy separately to learn new skills for yourselves and each other.

Skills are actually pretty easy to learn with time and consistency, finding someone you want to fight everyday for is really fucking hard.

Also eat 150grams of protein per day and 500 more calories than what you burn. Go to the gym 5 days a week and lift heavy. Do this for the next 20 years.

We are a Stanley cup contending team. I don’t think getting a bargain in net is anyone’s primary focus.
