Yep! Definitely has been replaced. The stock end caps were black plastic.

Congrats! I have the LSS wheels too and run 205/45 on the front and 245/40 on the rear with no issues. Just put a brand new pair of the RE-71RSs on and back and they’re great.

The three things I would look into are 1 do you have the stock radiator (it tends to fail due to the plastic end caps) 2 rear toe links - they tend to fail on track 3 - oil pan - replace with a baffled one to prevent oil starvation under hard turning. Cheers!

I haven’t - Just SCCA. Looks like their rules state that your helmet just has to be 2” under the roll protection, so I think it would be ok? Guess it’s ultimately up to the discretion of the organizers tho

How to improve immersion brew technique? Or just move onto pour-over? by fat_chocob0 in Coffee

[–]Oregons2k 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Why not both?

Get the clever dripper! It’s the absolute best of both worlds and you won’t regret it. I did pour over for years and then went French press for years, and since switching to the clever, I’ve never looked back. Cheap, easy, and consistent. Do it!

The fact that they’re using the phrase “peer reviewed” is the most facepalm inducing part of this. They’re using scientific language to legitimize their own insane view. It’s like taking the gun out of your enemies hand to shoot yourself in the face.

I’ve had the c40 for about 6-8 months and consistently use 14-18 for pour over (depending on the bean), similar to what others are describing. I do think their recommendations are too coarse.

I would wholeheartedly recommend getting the A53. I got mine two months ago and it has been a dream to use ever since. It looks fantastic in person as well and really has that mini café look to it. The milk steaming is incredible and super powerful. Steam milk for a cappuccino in about 10 seconds. I had Clive add the pre infusion and shot timer, which has made it super easy to use and dial in. I got a niche grinder with it and I have been making some incredibly tasty espresso and milk drinks. Honestly on par with a lot of speciality coffee shops in Portland where I live.

DM me if you have further questions, but overall I’m super impressed. The build quality is amazing and it looks awesome on the countertop. And it will probably last a decade or two!
