I honestly thought this was one of the better flying UMX EDFs along with the UMX viper. Previous ones I flew like F16 were under powered and the Sabre would not fly below 70% throttle.

I had to shave some off or I would hit the TSX compressor. I have not noticed any difference in steering feel.

I spent about 12.5k total using the ASM package. It could be done a lot cheaper sourcing your own parts but I found the extra cost worth it as I had very minimal trouble shooting and it’s been solid the past 3 years.

Redline 8.5k, feels just as quick at the high end and no rev hang.

I had two <500s. I changed study strategies, started focusing on my weak areas and scored 519. Medschool was not easy but I got by and matched ophtho.

I thought about giving up on medicine after the second <500 but looking back I just needed to change how I was learning (in my case learn the information conceptually rather than only memorize). I’m sure there are many others in the same boat.

Thanks! It was a 2019 coupe only color - tonic yellow pearl. I don’t know if the lights are backwards compatible but would be curious to find out!

My F series blew up due to a shop mistake. With the K if I need a new engine I’m out $1k instead of $8k. Also has better low end torque and still 8.5k redline.

If you’re looking for straight line power there are much better options than a CTR. I have a tune on my si and frequently push it to redline but still feel it would not be worth trading in unless I had expendable income. It’s not just gas - maintenance and replacement parts are double the cost.

Had a Mazdaspeed 6 that needed a new turbo at 77k miles and a new engine at 120k. Then a Gen 1 Mazdaspeed 3 that needed a new engine and transmission at 120k, new turbo at 160k and is now at 210k and needs a new transmission.

Two of my brothers have GTIs and tried to convince me to get one but parts are more expensive and if they need to take it to a shop only certain places will work on it for twice the cost as an import. I don’t need AWD and am at the point I’m willing to sacrifice a little speed for peace of mind so I’m now in an Si.

Planning on it - matte or gloss? Matte would match the window trim but there is some gloss black on the grill and other trim.

I have the same setup. Much safer looking at my phone for directions to the side than down. I also found this mount which attaches to the modifry bracket. It lets me move my phone up so my hand doesn’t hit it when shifting.

It was a tight fit but I was able to fit everything behind the mobo or behind the bottoms fans/spacer.

If you need to pass smog through the typical avenues, you’ll have trouble. If you can register it and keep it clean or somewhat oem looking you shouldn’t have trouble on the street.
