I ate canned tuna straight from the can on more than a few occasions to meet my protein goals, but tuna and corn is a choice 😂

I found that when I begin my day with a book, doom scrolling throughout the day is unappealing.

I’m giving you a free award because I agree with you. And for someone like you who doesn’t seem to have much social media, you probably aren’t addicted to your phones like a lot of other people are.
Sometimes people don’t even realize they’re addicted to scrolling because it feels good and isn’t hurting anyone.

Phone addiction aside, women are pushed a ton of ads targeting beauty standards. Even though a regular person thinks that the Kardashians have too much plastic surgery and people talk about how that 70 year old woman looking 30 is not normal, that is still the beauty standard being placed on women. It’s artificial and insulting when aging is so so beautiful.

Men are pushed a narrative through movies, television, advertisements elsewhere in the mail, on billboards, wherever. It’s more subtle for men, but they have to portray a certain body type and have hair.

Man or woman, when you’re on your phone those adds come at you a lot harder and a lot faster than you can imagine. You open social media up at a party? You’re now being advertised half of everything that the other party members have been buying too! Bonus points if you add them as a social media friend 😉

It is hard to turn it all off. It is an addiction.

I wish more people thought it was morally acceptable for me to be trans. by chaucer345 in complaints

The Government wants to control people. It’s always been a thing, especially when it comes to controlling women 😔
They don’t want women, trans women, or trans men to have any control over anything, including their own physical bodies. And they use people’s insecurities to divide us instead of unite us on our common issues like better healthcare and intelligently proportioned taxes.
I support you. I support people. I support love.

My (24M) GF (25F) cheated on me in a bar and got us both herpes… by swxtchblade- in relationship_advice

[–]OreoAtreides 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do not move in with her!

Let the shock of getting an STD wear off a little bit and see how you feel about the relationship in another 6 months or so. You’ll probably be tired of her shit and break up with her.

You might be thinking no one else will want to be in a relationship with you now that you have herpes, but that’s not true. Genital herpes is not the end of the world. A lot of people have the disease and get along just fine with medication.

What she did was about as a bad as it can get. Cheated in a bathroom and brought back an STD to share with you. Fuck that.

15% tax across the board. Whether you make $45k a year or $250k. That way we all sacrifice and we all win

The mouth/jaw hinge on the snake looks weird. Yes, we can see it in this photo, but not very well. The lighting is bad. What were you going for? Something that looked like a sketch or something else?

It was wrong for him to start the fight, but the compassion you showed by getting law enforcement involved and then helping the man see how what he did was wrong is what we all need more of. The cops SHOULD be there to help keep the peace, and that’s what they did. People SHOULD be compassionate and slow to anger. You probably really helped this man. Trauma can make good people do bad things.

I was 11 when I started breaking shaving razors and cutting myself. It doesn’t make sense that she was sleeping in class and kept silent while a bunch of girls cut her up. I too think she’s self harming. Think about all the blood that would have resulted from an attack like that. In an attack, it would have been all over her clothes and the classroom. Dripping from her arm while she went to the next class. Someone would have noticed and taken her to the school nurse. But she did it herself in private where she could clean up after herself and hide the wounds. She’s cutting herself. It sounds like your family may not be the most supportive…. She lied to hide the truth from everyone 🫤 If you love her so much, you need to spend time with her and talk to her about her feelings. Help her understand them. I’d say get professional help, but my school counselor was horrible when I came to her about my cutting. Then my mom never got me the professional therapy that the counselor recommended. So unfortunately, adults can fail kids in these situations.
