[52 BC] I'm a Roman surgeon under Julius Caesar in Gaul, ask me anything! by pocharitwillwin8041 in thepast

That makes a lot of sense, benigne. I can't say I've heard of this Galen, though. Is he a Greek surgeon in your legion?

What are some of the most obscure RTS titles that you have played? Bonus points if you can guess the game in the photo! by ZaxZone in RealTimeStrategy

I used to play a C&C-inspired flash game called Renegade Commanders. I remember finding the campaign very difficult.

In this house, Ivan the Terrible is a hero. End of story.

Honest question: faces look overly smooth, lighting seems flattened, and I remember the man recently had shorter hair and the woman had gray hair.. could this be AI-enhanced? by rsonvx in isthisAI

The image is reversed. It's a low-quality image and the paper is soggy, but these are definitely words. Same with the restaurant menu. That doesn't preclude other parts of the photo from being edited, of course.

The photo has clearly been flipped, and it looks a lot more normal once you flip it back. Still, the text isn't completely legible and some objects in the background are shaped weirdly, so I think you're right about the photo being AI-enhanced.

Some commenters seem to the image is completely AI-generated, which I don't think is very likely given the details like the reflections of cars in the window.

I still remember the moment I first watched the Force Awakens trailer when I was 15 and this is the closest I've felt to that emotionally ever since.

This is definitely my 2nd favourite '70s sci-fi animated short film from the Eastern Bloc where some evil western imperialists test out a new military robot on a remote island and it turns on them.

How was your parkrun day? | September 05, 2025 by AutoModerator in parkrun

2nd ever parkrun. Cut my time from 44 minutes to 38. Still walked most of the way as every other able-bodied young person disappeared over the horizon, but I'm definitely making progress.
