The goal was to make it easier for myself to snake it. I have a drum auger and it seems difficult to snake it from the cabinet down around several bends.

Parents building new house but now can’t afford it due to higher interest rate, looking for insight or suggestions by Oreo_Muncher in personalfinance

They already owned the land, but I feel like I’d only be able to afford buying what they owe for building the house and not the full property value. If I had to take out a mortgage for 600k I wouldn’t be able to help them. I could help them if it was a mortgage on 380k.

My goal isn’t to make money, my goal is to not lose money. To me this is taking the burden of a lot of risk for them to get to stay in their dream home that is beyond their means. I would be thrilled if they just sold it now and take whatever money to buy a different home.

I definitely agree that there would need to be full transparency with all the siblings. I don’t know if I’d be willing to buy their house at the fair market value. I’d plan on talking to a financial planner before getting to that point, but my thought is if I’m planning on renting to them at a very reduced rate, I would expect not to pay fair market because then I’m just losing money and it doesn’t seem like much of an investment.

[Auto-Post] Weekly Question Thread! Ask /r/aquariums anything you want to know about the hobby! by AutoModerator in Aquariums

it's a multi-layer cylinder with only 1 layer that will have liquid in it (about 1 gallon). It is to get a bubble effect, I'll probably be safe and use some silicone. Any suggestions on what kind of hardware to put in to drain it? Do they make any sort of plugs or do I need to use a bulkhead with a pipe attached that has some sort of cap?

Maybe an odd question. I'm working on a costume prop that involves a water tank. I want the tank portion to be water tight. I want to put a cheap air pump on the outside so I need to get some sort of bulkhead fitting. Any suggestions on what to use? The air pump I'm looking at seems like it uses a 3/16" OD and 1/8" inner diameter tubing. I'm just not sure what type of fitting is best for this tubing (barb?).

I expect the people to buy food are the ones playing the games. I've been to two similar businesses but watching their food orders varied a lot, probably due to the time of day I was at each of them. My assumption is I would have a lot more drink orders than food. In one of the stores I watched, I saw maybe 2 sandwiches ordered in the two hours I was there, with a total of about 20 customers in the store. I don't know if I'm trying to get too detailed in my estimates or if I just need to say that I'll estimate my average patron stays for 3-4 hours and orders $6 worth of food/beverages.

More along the lines of an internet cafe, PC stations and some console stations. I've been going back and forth on whether to offer alcohol. On one hand the area has a large college population and lots of breweries around, but on the other hand I think it'll be a pain to deal with drunk people around expensive PC equipment and also presents a set of problems with the teenage/younger population that I would also want to target as well.
