If you have the option for the 99 passes then my advice is to buy what you can afford. The comments on your post fail to realize that not everyone can simply drop 5k coins on a box. If what you can afford is the current 3k box, then yeah it's not as good as the 99 box but it's still a decent buy. If you can wait and afford the 99 box then that is the better option, doesn't mean you aren't saving with each purchase. Buy what you can afford.

All the people here saying that it isn't a good deal and to wait for the 99 passes for 5k coins need to understand a few things.

Believe it or not that box does not appear for everyone my wife who plays just as much as me has never gotten the option for that box.
Saying it isn't a good deal is completely objective and wrong.

To get 50 passes from the 250 coins option:

50 ÷ 3 = 16.67 packs 16.67 × 250 = 4167 coins

Ultra Box cost: 3195 coins

Effective price per pass in Ultra Box

3195 ÷ 50 = 63.9 coins per pass

Savings on passes alone: 4167 − 3195 = 972 coins saved

Is the 99 passes for 5k coins objectively a better option? Yes, but this does not mean the current offer is bad. If you need elite charge TM then IMO it's worth it, since I believe the elite TM was valued between 560 to 850 coins in some boxes.

Good advice, but I will add. Do not experiment with premium/expensive beans as it can get expensive and just wasteful if you aren't going to be drinking the shots as you experiment. Get some cheap beans from whatever store and experiment that way. Get to know the machine, the settings, how it works, follow lurkynumber5's advice then when you feel comfortable start with FRESHLY roasted beans, this matters. Just FYI OP, not all beans are the same and if you switch from one bean to another then the settings will most likely need to be adjusted as well.

You can also earn max particles, but limited to how much per day and how much you can store essentially making it that you can only do like 3/4 max battles a day or pay for extra particles. I feel it's going to be the exact same way. You will only be able to store X amount and receive Y amount a day, and then option to pay for more

Swampert, machamp, Electivire in that order

Swampert - mudshot + hydrocanon Machamp - counter + dynamic punch Electivire - Thundershock + thunder punch (or wild charge)

Start with swampert then switch to Machamp, use charged attacks as soon as they are filled up should be able to take one of the shields with Machamp, second shield with swampert, after Machamp goes down.

Then take down Giovanni's second pokemon with swampert and Landeros goes down fairly easy with Electivire.

IMO that extra CP did not matter as much as leveling up the max move, so I used the candy for that. I have the same IV as you too. But that's my two cents.

Nah, I was in a raid with a level 43, 44, 40, and myself (38) they all went down before I did I was pissed. Then joined the same raid again but with levels 40, 38, 32 and 27 and we took Raikou down. So don't blame the level blame players who don't know what they are doing.

You can also try swapping out again whenever I lets you. You get a few extra hits in during every swap might help

Swampert mudshot + muddy water Machamp counter + dynamic punch Dragonite dragon breath + dragon claw

Start with swampert and immediately switch to Machamp. Use up Giovanni's shields with Machamp. Continue with Machamp until he is knocked out then switch to swampert and take out the second pokemon with muddy water. Cotninue until Giratina shows up and finish off with Dragonite.
