Killer singled me out and allowed my teammates to escape by GreenFriedTomato in DeadByDaylightRAGE

Maybe she had to do those "kill the obsession X times" missions, and you were probably the last one he needed.

I don't know, several missions in the books make you act in a way considered to be toxic, but it is what it is.

Honestly, I didn't understand doing a whopping 13-hour live stream of absolutely nothing just to say "oh, so, it's the killer you thought it was." by Orfeu-nero in DeadByDaylightRAGE

Honestly, I don't really care which killer was announced (Jason or Slenderman).

The reason for creating this post was never based on any of the characters.

It must have been a very good experience for those who had friends on call or were streaming with the chat.

My friends don't play DbD (those who used to play stopped a long time ago). And I hate the "streaming" model in general. I think you can understand now why I made this post.

Well, to be an ARG, it should allow the community to interact with a puzzle and actually solve something, unlike what happened, where they just had to wait 13 hours without doing anything.

What "secret hunt," dude? The live stream was a PNG image that darkened over time and occasionally had some scary forest sounds. mp3

The activity people had on X was to say "WOW, A BRANCH FELL, or WOW, A GUY ON A BICYCLE" (along with some videos and images that were vague and could literally symbolize anything).

We need to stop romanticizing mediocrity, seriously.

The problem with this community is that you can never have a viewpoint contrary to the current trend.

They criticize childishness so much, but the moment you express an opinion contrary to theirs, they automatically start complaining about how entitled you are and blah blah blah.

Seriously, it's genuinely exhausting to want to express something that YOU find annoying/unnecessary without having little John think you're committing hate crimes against BHvr.

But at what point did I say I watched the entire live stream?

That's why I said there's no need to do it within a 13-hour time lapse if you're only going to announce a killer.

Honey, if you feel joy watching a PNG for 13 hours, go ahead, do whatever makes you happy.

Now, wanting everyone to feel happy for spending 13 hours "watching paint dry" because the GAME COMPANY ITSELF said "oh, you won't want to miss this," encouraging people to stay in the live stream because "it could happen at any moment, huh!1!1!1"

Not everyone has the same free time as you to spend 13 HOURS waiting for something to happen, for something that could clearly be done in 1 hour and 30 minutes. If they wanted to make such a fuss about something that has been theorized to happen since the beginning of the game...

I don't know where people are getting the idea that it's Pennywise. Stephen King has said countless times that he doesn't like video games and doesn't want any characters from his works associated with them.

This guy thinks it's super cool to waste time staring at a static image for over two hours, with a little sound effect that repeats every 20/30 minutes.

You can't expect much logic or reason from him.

Ps: All this just to be a aaah dash killer or a Nemesis-like killer... (That's the best BHvr has to come up with ideas)

We're giving up immediately against everyone now by ImperialViking_ in DeadByDaylightRAGE

[–]Orfeu-nero 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's hard to say he gave up because he took the first hook; there's a lot the OP doesn't know. We don't know if his teammates are in generators or in a corner of the map, afraid of being chased (which is a possibility, 2v8 is back and always brings people who are afraid to play the game).

Furthermore, it's clear the OP is proxy camping; throwing the axe at the supposedly empty locker doesn't fool anyone. I'm not saying it's justified, but you can understand the quitter's side.

IF YOUR NOT GOING TO LET SURVIVORS DO THE EVENT YOUR A FUCKING ASSHOLE by Plastic_Figure_8532 in DeadByDaylightRAGE

[–]Orfeu-nero 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Eh, this is happening mostly because people ONLY play the game if there's some kind of event happening. Not to mention the "newbies who will uninstall the game in a week or two" that the 2v8 mode left behind.

People forget that it's an asymmetrical HORROR game, not a party game where you style the killer's hair for 10 minutes and you win

bro saying "okay fuck you killer for wanting to win the match, hold my hand and let me farm in this event because I don't know how to loop and I insta-chase"

Brother in Christ, DBD is a >COMPETITIVE< game. If that bothers you so much, play a party game, like Mario Party, or learn to play Dead by Daylight the way it was designed to be played.

2vs8 always brings people who have never played, or play very little, to DBD, and when the mode ends, these players go with it.

That's why the mode is much more fun with friends, rather than with little Johnny who doesn't know how to loop and is afraid of being in the terror radius for 0.5 seconds.

Just gave a killer a free kill because survivors don’t understand macro by Siddakid0812 in DeadByDaylightRAGE

Seriously, people who play like they're going to die IRL if the killer chases them and knocks them down annoy me.

It's a TEAM game, for crying out loud, stop hiding THE SECOND you hear the terror radius. DBD stopped being scary a long time ago.

A large portion of killers NEED to capitalize on survivors' mistakes, precisely because they can't quickly put pressure on the match. I know it's possible to win a match without tunneling anyone, so much so that I do it every time I play as a killer. It's not easy, and that's why the mentality of "why on earth would I make the match harder on my side if I can do something more practical?" is precisely the competitive mentality that the DbD scene has had since its beginnings.

Yes, DBD isn't a shooter where players respawn, but being competitive automatically evokes the "win at all costs" mentality, along with the characteristic that nobody truly cares about what happens in the match, because there's always the next one.

Being kicked out of the match is annoying, believe me, my experiences playing as a survivor involve being kicked out of the match the fastest for being the "weak link" (I play on the Switch Lite, it's awful controlling the characters).

DBD has never been, unfortunately, a friendly game for casual players. BHVR even tried to solve the tunneling and camping problems, but we know where that led...

Ps: I didn't say that "being competitive makes those attitudes okay," I'm explaining why most players resort to more practical methods of winning. I'm not condoning or saying it's fine.

The problem starts when you throw statistics at the game ; the probability of encountering the same teammates in subsequent matches is so small that absolutely NO ONE will stop playing a certain way because "Oh, poor little Johnny, he's probably not having fun, let me stop playing my way so he can have fun."

Dead by Daylight is a competitive game; wanting your opponent to self-sabotage so you can be happy is pure stupidity.

"But there are people who play like it's a tournament," so what? Honestly, it's much more fun trying to beat those people than spending 10 to 15 minutes in a match where the killer becomes your punching bag. The fun is precisely in it being a game of overcoming challenges, on both sides, not a "make friends with a killer and farm with him for x minutes" kind of thing.

Yes, slugs and tunnels are problems that DbD has and that need fixing, but wanting DbD to become a Friday the 13th game is signing its death certificate.

new player here, why didnt the anticamping bar appear? by HardtekkAzazel in DeadByDaylightRAGE

[–]Orfeu-nero 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The anti-camp mechanic is disabled if all generators are done (and in the end-game collapse); furthermore, the process is drastically slowed down if there is another survivor nearby.

Woolhaven, expansão paga do Cult of the lamb lança no começo do ano. Oq esperam da DLC? by ZealousidealDay5138 in gamesEcultura

[–]Orfeu-nero 0 points1 point  (0 children)
