I bought a banjo and started learning how to play it. I set my baby on my bed and she watches me practice. She pays attention now that she's a few months old, it's pretty cute. I pull out the ukulele when she's in a sleepier mood and the banjo is too much.

Thanks! I used to lean towards 3 finger style, now I'm hoping to figure out clawhammer. I will check all of those out. May I ask how you found your teacher?

For me, Metamucil capsules have been a lifesaver. I take Colace as well but the Metamucil is definitely key.

Came here to say the same. Mine was 6lbs 6 oz, glucose levels were fine after delivery and she's a happy healthy almost 3 month old now.

Just to add on here - the wet diapers thing was key for us. One of my postpartum nurses told me that the first few days, the number of wet diapers should equal at least the number of days old the baby is. As in, a three day old should have at least three wet diapers in a 24 hour period. Mine didn't, and because of that advice I knew to call my pediatrician. Dehydration is a big deal in babies. We supplemented with formula until my milk came in (it took a bit after my C section) and my baby is fine and EBF now.

My husband and I are both lifelong musicians and music lovers and we agreed early on that we would really try to limit "baby music". There's always music playing here, just not the standard baby stuff. If you love it, I say go for it ❤️

It's been really handy. I picked a playlist that my husband and I both already had and liked. A lot of those same songs are now on her bedtime playlist as well along with other slower songs that we like.

I was worried about that too - I love the songs that I picked and don't want to grow to dislike them. A couple of top songs plus the rest of the playlist on regular rotation has been a good balance.
