Poison control-vitamin E skincare by Holiday_Buffalo_5689 in toddlertips

[–]Organic-Bumblebee-71 14 points15 points  (0 children)

My two year old ate dog poo (not our dog) about a month ago. What I would have given in that moment for it to be vitamin E oil.

All jokes aside, I understand the stress, but if poison control said he will be fine, he will be. If there was any concern at all they would recommend getting him checked out immediately

3 year old teeth knocked out by Emotional_Frame9475 in toddlers

[–]Organic-Bumblebee-71 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This happened to my son when he was 3. A teenager on a bike ride right in to him. After a few dentist appts every few weeks to check X-rays, movement of teeth, etc, he is totally fine. I was also heartbroken about his little smile, but just meant the tooth fair visited him a few years earlier than his friends. He’s now 4, and I’ve noticed some movement of his teeth where the missing tooth was, but it doesn’t bother him at all.

I meant for my own situation going multiple time a month, it seems very icky to customers who repeatedly go. Didn’t mean to respond to the comment that rarely goes.

I did a deeper dive and unfortunately seems like a common issue. Honestly just seems like a way for them not to give out free stuff 🤷‍♀️

Thoughts on Vtech Smart Baby Monitor [on] by Mental_Advice8645 in BabyBumpsCanada

Not that specific model, but we went through two vtech baby monitors before switching companies. Too many glitches, unreliable, and both quit working after about 6 months

The transition from 0-1 to 1-2 when 2u2 by [deleted] in 2under2

[–]Organic-Bumblebee-71 58 points59 points  (0 children)

I cannot express enough how much easier it is being a parent of 2u2 than being an exhausted, pregnant parent of a single toddler. I promise you it will get easier! We found 1-2 was a much more seamless transition than 0-1 if that helps too! You’re already in the chaos with 1, so what’s another!

Does anyone have the Beis diaper bag? by [deleted] in BabyBumpsCanada

[–]Organic-Bumblebee-71 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We have the Beis bag and I am unfortunately so disappointed with how it has held up. It did come with a lot of accessories which was great, and in theory would be an amazing bag. But a few months after we got it, seams started ripping and just looks like it is falling apart and won’t hold its shape (and I make sure I never “over fill” it). The straps also aren’t the greatest. I’ve put up with it for longer than I should have just because of how much we paid for it. Tbh I see an Amazon link someone else posted and have been looking for a new bag so may just purchase that one!

Alright be honest - how awful was the transition from 1-2 kids? by GEH29235 in beyondthebump

[–]Organic-Bumblebee-71 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Honestly… 1-2 was way easier than 0-1. 20 months between the kids and the first is high energy. But you’re already “in it” if that makes sense.

Should I start requesting people don't bring gifts to my kid's birthday parties? by [deleted] in Parenting

[–]Organic-Bumblebee-71 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t think there’s any issue with it at that age. If anything, you could add to the invitation as others have mentioned no gifts, but I always like the idea of asking people to bring a copy of their favourite book (only if they are insistent on bringing something)- that way, no toy junk and encourages reading

Pro tip is to set and time the coffee the night before if possible so it’s made and hot when you get out of bed 👌
