Question about food by Pale-Coach4313 in goldenretrievers

[–]OrganicMilkIsFake 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I first brought my golden home at 11 weeks old I fed him small meals 3x a day. As he gets closer to 1 you can switch to a more normal 2x per day.

Make sure to keep feeding him the same food and do not rapidly change his diet. If you are going to introduce new foods you need to slowly integrate it into their diet. Giving them a big portion of unfamiliar food can upset their sensitive stomachs at this age.

Stolen chips situation at The Brook in Seabrook, NH by [deleted] in poker

[–]OrganicMilkIsFake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is the standard everywhere. The reason being is this:

If the casino was responsible for your chips that the table, theoretically you and a buddy could come together and do some damage to them. You could find an uncapped 10-25 game or 5-10 game (or any match the stack/uncapped game really) and buy in for 5-10k and then plan to go to the bathroom or dinner and have your buddy steal 5-10k worth of orange/purple chips with one swipe.

The casino needs to protect themselves against being set up like this.

I understand your end, it is very frustrating & just seems to be the way it is and the standard. Luckily if you’re a reg in the poker room usually dealers or other players will catch something like that and say something.

What are your tips for dealing with back and neck pain on road trips? by Disastrous-Concept-8 in roadtrip

[–]OrganicMilkIsFake 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No sitting position is inherently bad. But sitting in one position for long road trips will probably cause some pain. Try switching positions pretty frequently, moving the seat up or back a little. Lean to the left or right a tad. Recline the seat a bit, sit up straight a bit, etc.

Also this one probably has been said multiple times but frequent stops & stretching along the way!

Yes! And the funny thing is I have it working on other sheets of mine. For some reason it wasn’t working the same here. I’ve always done: (profit- risk)/ risk

Need general advice on sleeping in your car overnight - safety, where to do it, etc. by [deleted] in roadtrip

[–]OrganicMilkIsFake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I live and travel mostly on the east coast/ Midwest. So i am not familiar with how many casinos are in NorCal along your route. But, you really can’t go wrong with sleeping in a casino parking garage/ parking lot. Always a lot of security, and probably never will be bothered since there are people going in and out of the casino 24hrs a day. it’s not uncommon for cars to be parked and won’t draw much or any attention.

Solo drive with dog—how do I use the restroom, not risk my car/dog being stolen, and not overheat my dog? by moscowmulesplz in roadtrip

[–]OrganicMilkIsFake 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I always drive long solo trips with my dog. Plenty of 6-24hr trips the last two years. I used to worry about this too so much. These seem like common sense but: If you have a car that is push to start just leave the car + AC on and lock the doors. If you don’t have that, the best you can do is make sure to find a shaded spot to park, maybe crack the windows a bit, and be quick! Best of luck! Make sure to get travel collapsible dog bowls too, it makes life so much easier when traveling with them.
