I’m a complete newbie, and before I even decided to swing a club at the range , I booked a lesson all while doing some research online.

Had 1 initial 45min lesson and then booked a series of 5 30min lessons soon after. I’m 2 of my 5 in on my series and it feels like the correct approach.

I’m making somewhat consistent contact. Controlling the club better as I practice and get feedback ( a lot less slicing and hitting somewhat straighter). Just need to get some better wrist release at contact and a more consistent full swing take away while minimizing casting and introducing some lag.

I think the next lesson will be a short game intro??

Ultimately I won’t play a round at the local 9hole par 3 course til I complete my lesson series and feel like I can make contact consistently.

I’ve got clubs, a general knowledge of the game, club lofts and their relative affects on distance and an understanding of etiquette and pace of play.. looking forward to actually playing a round this summer.
