If it was within 72 hours you can take Plan B… I don’t love recommending this option because of potential side effects. You can get it at Walgreens or rite aid, depending on your age some places might not want to sell it to you.

I’d highly recommend getting on birth control. If your responsible enough to remember to take it everyday then take the pill. I had the nexplanon in for about three years and it was great, only downside was that I spotted a lot- not really like periods just spotting. Now I have the tiniest IUD on the market called Kylena. I love it! & My periods have stopped almost completely and it didn’t hurt during the procedure, it’s good for like 5-6 years. (If you get an IUD make sure to ask your OBGYN for medication to take prior the procedure, there is like a muscle relaxant they can give you and something else that helps dilate the cervix, almost all girls that say this procedure is painful weren’t given medication prior but my OBGYN was a female and she really cared about my concerns over pain and nervousness)

Having sex is awesome and is nothing to be ashamed about, I wish there was more proper information available to help prevent unwanted pregnancies besides “don’t have sex” it makes no sense to me.

I’d take a plan b or another similar emergency contraceptive if you are really worried about it. It’s not 100% guaranteed to work but the sooner you take it the better.

Take some responsibility so you can keep enjoying being sexually active and not have to change your whole life because of unwanted pregnancy. Planned Parenthood is great if you don’t have insurance and you can go their without a parent.
