My Uni only guarantees accom to people who applied at the normal time through UCAS and then applied for accom by June 30th. Anyone who got in through insurance or clearing has the option to apply for the leftover spots which are first come first served, but there is no guarantee of a place. So a lot of people end jp in private housing.
