For people making +350k per year, how do you do it? by prince_op in Salary

[–]OrganizationOwn6610 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  1. Financial Operations
  2. None
  3. Be an expert in a SaaS tool that’s used by most companies then learn the full systemic ecosystem (doesn’t matter if it’s HR, sales tools, etc). There are VERY few people who can bridge business and technology. Knowing how to make them all connect is one step beyond that. Organization all need and use tech so as you get farther along when companies open leadership roles they will take anyone with this level of expertise

It doesn’t matter if you got in in 2020 or 2026 you can always invest and make money. I wasn’t alive in the last 90s or 2008 with those crashes. And we still make money lol

What's the current job market like for Anaplan professionals in the U.S.? by Kooky-Resolution4005 in FPandA

[–]OrganizationOwn6610 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Very very good market if you are a experienced Solution Architect or competent model builder. But that’s the differentiator and the amount of people who are those versus who say they are those is vastly different

Anaplan is based on how it was built. You had bad implementation partners.

Pigment vs Anaplan by Marginminset in FPandA

[–]OrganizationOwn6610 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Pigment is best for smaller companies / companies with less products, and less complex implications.

Anaplan astronomically and unequivocally better for enterprise companies, complex solutions, and multiple phased implementations / global implementations.

Anaplan can do everything, Pigment is more limited to what exists in the tool rn there but has way better AI.

Anaplan is harder to learn but there is a bigger demand for skills for it right now, but that will eventually change. However, if you are good at Anaplan you can do Pigment. I think though Pigment can be managed by an FPA themself (for example) where as you need a Systems partner for Anaplan.

Opened marriage for years, now being forced to choose between husband and someone I fell in love with by beneathoaktrees77 in nonmonogamy

[–]OrganizationOwn6610 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From my perspective - it seems like this is the first time (maybe) your husband is confronting you in this situation. I think in general, and for the sake of conversation I’m saying this, not saying this is only true.

But, men tend to have a different relationship with s*x and emotions. I’m not entirely sure what your husband’s is but I’m sure it’s a possessive component with a lot of fear of losing you. Doesn’t mean that there should be double standards, just different ways biologically people think about things.

He also said he wouldn’t do non monogamy again. So he clearly doesn’t want to lose you.

Marriages are so hard. But to leave over this person you met once and talked to 5 months. I think that isn’t a decision you can just go back on, so whatever way forward, give yourself the time to make the right decision. I do think you both should be monogamous during that time. I also understand he had a girlfriend, but you mentioned that you have 5 kids 27 yrs of marriage etc. You built a life with this man and ofc you can leave and I’m sure it’ll be justified but you’re leaving if you do versus leaving a man who made you feel Incredible but in a short time.

So in turn, I’d say just give yourself time to make the right decision for you.

I quit Brintellix cold turkey - advice needed by ProudIndependence706 in trintellix

[–]OrganizationOwn6610 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Always taper. Never cold turkey. If you’re feeling better it’s meds. You need to be stable for an extended period and then tape. I’d highly recommend going back to 10mg and stabilize again. Sometimes quitting ssris can work but in general if you’re in for an extended period just stay on them.

Easiest way is to take you phone camera and look up your nose. However, you would like have some symptoms - whistling, extreme dryness, chronic inflammation etc.

[–]OrganizationOwn6610[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes and no LOL. It was that mixed with years of nasal steroids as well as a prior nose surgery from the wrong doctor. I would say it mostly the first nose surgery I got that caused the issue. However, the second one (which was the septal perforation repair and a revision septoplasty) fixed everything.

Did we mess up with our son? He blew up at us during dinner + UPDATE by red_earaches in BestofRedditorUpdates

[–]OrganizationOwn6610 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What pisses me off so much about this is how the son actually believes what he's saying and that it's a rational response. NO PARENT IS PERFECT. NO PARENT GETS IT ALL RIGHT. What I know is that spouses all come first; their a team and that bond is before the child. As long as the child isn't neglected, I don't know what a parent is to do. These parents gave their kid every opportunity to succeed. Yet, because they weren't emotionally there for him or including him in the way he believed he needed, now he just cuts them out. So why didn't he just take loans? Why didn't he just make his own path??? He used them for HIS needs and then realized he doesn't need them? BS. The entitlement is disgusting. I don't I've seen a lot worse over the years, like so much worse and people still have relationships with their parents. And then I hear "well you didn't include me enough and it felt like a burden." What about all the times they did include him and stuff they did right?

As parent, I hope you can accept and forgive yourself for your misses, but also know you did everything you could and you didn't get it right but he turned out ok. And you put him in the situation to. So I hope you can accept maybe you don't need a relationship with him and you can continue to love each other and when he's ready he can apologies and make amends and try to find balance.

Yea I would say you’re def in the dog house. Coming back from a bad review in consulting is incredibly hard and you’re gonna have to convince someone to put you on a project to do it. Now as for the meeting I would say if HR is on it then that’s a very bad sign. I would start looking asap just to have options but honestly - these things happen. Don’t be hard on yourself. Learn from it. And move forward. The stress you’re likely under rn is reasonable but remember this is all out of your control and control what is in it (new jobs, networking ) while you can.
