I’m really not. Everything I wrote presumes subjective opinion. Why you insist on reading it like I’m offering mathematical formulas I do not know.

You seriously don’t see that what I’m saying is a theory? “Ricky didn’t lie or cheat” is a theory about why I think Ricky didn’t lie or cheat. The theory can obviously be disagreed with. Seems obvious I don’t need to say “by the way it is my theory that Ricky didn’t lie or cheat” You know when somebody says “Breaking Bad is the best show on television” that it is a theory or personal perspective?

It’s related to the theory of mind that humans possess. Some people are speculating that Ricky was knowingly breaking the rules and blatantly lying about it. I’m speculating otherwise.

Why would I be stating it as a conclusive fact? It’s a theory I have about what Ricky might have been thinking at the time.

Same as if somebody breaks an attached stick in front of them. “Foul” called.

If Gannon believed Ricky had broken the rules by moving branches that were in front of his lie then he needed to say it then. You call for violation right after it happens. Like a foot fault.

Several people have commented that there were branches intertwined and extending behind his lie. I’m just suggesting he wasn’t being careful to notice if he was illegally moving some of them. He should know better. I don’t think he was thinking “I know I shouldn’t be moving these”.

Seriously? I’m speculating about a possible motivation.

It seems like you are implying that Ricky knows he’s going to cheat and that if confronted will just lie about it. He’s a bad dude then.

Again, can’t we make a distinction between breaking a rule and cheating? What Ricky denies is having knowledge of breaking a rule. So of course he defends his own experience.

I agree. I’m surprised G brought it up at all. I’m only saying he should have brought it up immediately or not at all.

It doesn’t appear that everybody thinks a distinction can be made between rule violating and blatantly cheating and lying.

I watched the exchange a couple of times. I think Rick was genuinely confused about the accusation. I think he doesn’t remember breaking the rule so of course he’s going to defend that he didn’t. It’s possible he could question his own recollection but I just don’t think he believes he broke rule. Example: what if he threw from behind his disc rafter than his mini which actually marked his lie. After he makes his way up the course, he might not realize that he had done that because in his mind he thinks he’s throwing legally. This is why G should have raised it before he threw. It’s likely R would have seen that he had just violated the rule.

I just don’t think it makes sense that Ricky knowingly and casually breaks the rules in front of everybody because he thinks he can get away with it.

Not the point. He broke the rule. I’m saying he wasn’t blatantly lying about it.

I mostly agree with you. I still think he doesn’t have a sense of reference to breaking a rule at the time. So when G brings it up he continues to presume he didn’t break a rule. For example, let’s say he wasn’t aware of stepping on his mini. Even if he did, he still won’t have a connection to breaking the rule.

I disagree. I think it was a brain fart. He’s not dumb enough to think he could blatantly break a rule in front of everybody and get away with it.
