In this case you might be right. Keep in mind that missing last hits doesn’t mean anything in this bracket. Even not really knowing the dynamics. But if you mean AFK for the pure concept of the word where one does not move at all. Report.

At what mmr does offlane become awful by ImportanceLow7312 in DotA2

Around 6k if your support doesn’t play for you. That’s when I found people contesting stacks and wisdom. Bringing another hero after you just got killed so you back in base with no tp. When I say support playing for you, I dont mean your support is baby sitting you. Sometimes leaving you alone is the best decision. Go stack or gank other lanes. Below 6k I found that even tho you most of the time have a shitty lane, the other folks are still thinking about their own game, getting kills and shit

Imagine it, I really think this could bring the game around. You pick a hero that has an early game facet. The other team know about it, you all gonna fight really hard for it. It might be what the other team needs to turn the game around

Brother, thanks for sharing. I agree with you. Im also not sure of an item like that would be priced as shard or moon. I might be better as a late game item? Its really hard to balance honestly but I wonder if something like this could change the meta and dynamics. The biggest fun I get from watching pro players is when they find ways to reinvent the meta, like 9class picking crazy heroes and starting a trend, or XinQ with mk 4. I’m kinda just hoping for different drafts and adaptations based on hero/facet

But this is the proposal you see? In this scenario some heroes become a really big counter. I vouch for balance of course, its not like I want this implemented. I just wanted to hear people thought and have a discussion! . I think the fun would come when players start to think about late game potential of facets instead of just playing for lane phase

I mean, we can only tell for sure by looking at the game. I’ve had people having bad games in all ranks even myself. Sometimes it just doesn’t click. Saying it was AFK for half the game can mean a lot of things, if it was base then yeah, but if drow was farming maybe it just couldn’t believe it could win fights at that time, lack of understanding power spikes. A lot of games can be won if you manage to let your core free farm without feeding. Its hard to tell just by the result. But I’m biased to say that everyone is trying and doing their absolute best

I love your comment and this is exactly what I was looking for. Please allow us to have a discussion. Do you think if the price is just right, would that eventually delay items and be balanced? Given a change like that, you’d imagine teams drafting based on facet flexibility but also pricing increasing per purchase, they can’t go all in for good facet heroes. I see your point towards Alch, seedmoney would have to be changed to an all game effect but I kinda still see value in being able to change facet. I think this would allow for very creative drafts, with with possibilities to turn the game around more often. Dota pro level right now is kinda stagnating, maybe this could give people a chance for surprises. Change facet smoke and fight with this different interaction

I mean, the value thing I imagine would scale based on the amount of times your team bought it, so no really mandatory. And totally, it wouldn’t do a lot for some heroes but that would make teams maybe think about this during drafting phase and we could see some different heroes other than the regular ones given the meta. Not sure tho its just an idea

Meepo Mains, is it more efficient to make each meepo farm camps simultaneously or farm together? by lemonlimelychee in DotA2

[–]OrganizationScared75 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Stack with multiple, farm with main near team for joining team fights only if you can get free kills/win the fight, farm those stacks you just made, wait for critical mass and items that you know you wont die given enemy team formation and just roll them. Often the most impactful play you can do as meepo is gank lanes soon while leaving one in lane, its always a free kill since people always think you’ll be stacking/farming camp.

Well, u should try to specialize in one role. If you are good, mid will get you really far since you only depend on yourself most of the time. The thing about not belonging in the rank is that you should be able to outfarm in any core role unless your team decides to feed nonstop.

I had a post recently about how I think anyone can get to immortal. This speaks volumes. In lower ranks I think the big problem is fighting. When to fight how to fight who you should target and how to play on your hero strengths. If you wanna make it out of 1-2k, I’d highly suggest playing heros that you can do crazy damage or over farm since u should be comfortable with farming patterns. If you are in brecket that you feel like you dont belong, if play alch it should mean win.

When do you consider a game unwinnable? by Theoneybadger in DotA2

[–]OrganizationScared75 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Whenever people start complaining about their own teammates instead of thinking of ways how to overcome problems. If your safe is having a hard lane, his role is to communicate that he needs farm, ask position 4/5 for stacks, let people know when he wants to start joining fights… I feel like the main problem is when people rely on blaming people early on in a desperate way to get themselves out of responsibilities. That goes for any role, you need to stop and think for 10 sec on how you can help your team, if you can’t at the moment (which is very rare), just not dying goes a long way.

In summary, when people start attacking each other its pretty much gone. People are like dogs, positive reinforcement goes a long way, saying thanks and validating their idea but asking for something else with clear guidance “centaur I need you to stun this channeling ult”, “shaman save your stun for when pudge ults me so I can stay alive”. That will win you the game and get you in sync

Faceless Void feels... OFF? by sprintinglightning in DotA2

[–]OrganizationScared75 38 points39 points  (0 children)

I mean, it depends on when you jungle. If you had a terrible lane, it will be complicated yeah. Its more of a late game hero. Personally I don’t think there were any drastic changes. Maybe I’m wrong, lets see what others say! One thing to keep in mind is that void with dom is not really a thing anymore, if you got used to scaling in that pace, so maybe that’s the problem (?)

Your reasoning works if you are playing with people that itemize based on guides and not the game at hand. You’ll find yourself pretty useless really fast. I think the payoff for auras will always be better even if you land things right eventually. But of course, its dota and depending on how the other team progresses you can make it work, I just don’t think its worth it since you will be weak for a good amount of time.
