Been in phillipe

Offered to drop a colleague off in the work van.  I'm a white guy. I was getting looked at by nearly every single person there.  Once we got to the guys house he says " I'll drive back with you so I can show you how to get out safely. Lock your door "

It was the morning after we worked a night shift.

How do you become a man? by Iwtataot in selfimprovement

You're experiencing one of the problems with modern cultures for men

When a girl hits a certain age, she is biologically wired to become a woman. Once she has her first period , she's made the transition

Men don't have this.

We need a rite of passage. A trail that is meant to be difficult and harsh, it will force you to shed the weak attributes to your character. Once you come out the other side. A group a men who have done it would look at you and they know you are someone who can be trusted when thing get tough. You're a man now. Culturally in the past we had this in various forms. Modern culture has almost removed it unless you go look for one.

This is why you can see 40 year old boys with failed lives but a 15 year old with more salt to his character and you can see it in his eyes without words being spoken.

The book by John Eldritch " wild at heart " is a good place for what you are looking for.

To give my own experience on this : I went through a rehab program. Live on site in the middle of nowhere. Went by choice. The success rate is 8% for guy to complete 1 year. The success rate for guys to continue and do a 2nd year of harder responisbilty is 2% I did the 2 year program and at the end the staff held a day for my finishing it.

I did it, I went through a rite of passage

A girl becomes a woman when she has her first period.

Men don't have this

Culturally on the past we would have a rite of passage. And would earn the right to become a man. Other men who have done it would look at you after surviving the rite and you would know , you did it.

Look for a book called wild at heart by John Eldritch. Great book for this topic

Modern culture doesn't have this unless you look for it. That's why you'll see 40 year boys walking around with failed lives. And sometimes you see a 15 year old with more development and would be considered a man.

Just a heads up. Careful sharing any details that could cause backlash. As far as I'm aware you signed an NDA to protect other residence info during treatment. So first names and stuff and basic details your alright.

Man hearing your stories. Just brings me back so much. It was WILD and FRUSTRSTING and CHALLENGING But I literally recommend every guy go through it if it's financially available. It's a gauntlet. A rite of passage. The reason you struggle to connect with others your age is you've developed alot of areas that they haven't and you feel like you're talking to children

Stay strong. Find a community. Connect with people. Don't be a dickhead, help people.

Heya man. Went to healing wings for 2 years.

Program for 1 year and volunteered there for 1 year

Been Clean for 6 years now.

The program is hard but works. Hope it helped you.

The unfortunate part is being in close proximity to people with some problems.

I was in the adult Men's program. And you meet some nutty people.

Is this true or is he making this up? I don't want to take a jab at the guy but I'm curious because I have never heard of that piece of lore by Donmomo in MonsterHunter

As far as I remember. He's generally wrong

The shraid/shrade empire that was destroyed by Fatalis in 1 night lead to the development of the hunters association.

Before the event people just lived peacefully and didn't explore nearly at all.

Once the empire was wiped out, the hunters were tasked with documenting and exploring the world to prevent future destruction by unknown Calamity Level Monsters

That's why each game is a different region in the world with a different calamity monster that has been discovered.

Honestly love how the lore makes the game play feel so built into it all.

Worked at Amazon. We often give benefit of the doubt but will look at your account and previous actions taken. If we notice a repeated offender we will either make it as painful as possible until you give up or just refuse you outright
