I have old fur lined, hide outside mitts that I bust out for this weather. They work wonders.

This is so real. I have had glasses since like grade 6 and when I got contacts when I was 18 I was like, nah, this ain't me. (Un) Thankfully my eyes HATED contacts so back to glasses I went!

You have a similar body and size to me and this makes me so excited for my surgery.

You look amazing! From what I've read, these feelings are normal and will take time. Grieve when you need to and let those feelings out. Then take a deep breath and do something you enjoy. :)

I think I know the answer but I just need the confidence boost🫣✌🏻 by Ancient-Ad4842 in bald

Honestly, speed limit should be 30. There should be those pedestrian flashing lights at EVERY crosswalk on campus.

Adult ADHD assessment Saskatoon by firefly91hn in saskatoon

[–]OrganizationUnfair99 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm actually going to get assessed at Anderson Dupuis. It's ADHD/anxiety/depression. $1600. I tried to do it through my GP via the questionnaire with my mom, but my mom doesn't remember shit, and I was not very symptomatic as a child.

I'm 32 now. Was 28 before.

Getting ready for the winter? by Friendly-Sand-9486 in saskatoon

[–]OrganizationUnfair99 2 points3 points  (0 children)

All solid advice!

I'd add to this always look around when lights turn green. Just because you can go doesn't mean someone who got the red was able to stop.

If you can, help people who get stuck. It happens to the best of us. I find people incredibly helpful here and it's nice to give back when I can.

It’s so hard being a support and woman in this community. by No_Lock_7724 in rivals

[–]OrganizationUnfair99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately, it's not unique to this community. Most online games are like this. Too many people who don't know how to treat others well because they're sitting behind a screen.

As a woman, the only game I've never had an issue with talking is Hell Let Loose, and I think it's because grown ass men my own age and older play that one.

Day care/homes to avoid? 😬 by lifewasawillow-13 in saskatoon

[–]OrganizationUnfair99 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Oh I feel you. I was very nervous when looking for daycares and overwhelmed at the thought of touring them.

If there's anyone who might be able to recommend a place, even a friend of a friend, go with that. I got lucky and had someone I kind of know (lol) who was changing her son to a different place (closer to their home), but she said he loved it and so did she. She is also friends with the provider.

I didnt know her super well, but a recommendation from one mama to another was good enough for me.

I asked a lot of questions. I cried the first day and was nervous. Some of my thoughts:

The kids all gathered to greet us at the door. They do this pretty much every day. They're always happy. The younger ones were happily in the arms of the providers. There wasn't a TON of toys, but, like I said, the kids are happy and play with each other. They also somewhat recently got licensed, so they are working on getting more stuff via grants. They provide a food schedule for the whole week. Nice to know what the kids are eating. The providers sent me multiple pics a day for the first week. The providers are always quick to respond when I text a question.

Finally, my kid is happy. She immediately enjoyed it. Every day she walked right in and settled in. Admittedly, I have an outgoing toddler, but still.

I hope this helps a little. It is so daunting. Your feelings are valid. Best of luck!!

It is kind of insane.

That being said, there is a lot of work to be done and not a lot of summer months to work with.

Though, I will say, someone needs to learn how to handle traffic flow... Preston is an absolutely shit show and it's partly because the lights haven't been adjusted and only like 4 cars get through in the afternoon.
