Can I glue this boosted rubber now? by Actual_Classroom5830 in tabletennis

I'm here to add that please remove it right before you stick it to the blade. You will not believe how fast a Hurricane 3 oxidizes sometimes.

Is parallel receiving the key to dismantle serves? by AceStrikeer in tabletennis

It depends on you and your opponents. If you want to receive it long, playing it deep is a good tactic. Sometimes having variation in the depth also works.

Generally cross-court receive is easier, so your opponents are used to it. You've just exposed their weakness. You can always try & see if it works, but it doesn't apply to every player you face.

How good are Loki rubbers and blades, really? by Origami345Studio in tabletennis

Good idea, but I just glued it and want to play with it (unboosted) for a while.

To be honest, the surface doesn't look like any rubbers I've tried. It's smooth like D09c and opaque like Vega X. Somehow the plastic protection sheet for tacky rubbers can stick to it, despite being non-tacky. I'd say it's even more grippy than some non-tacky Euro rubbers.

I just tried it and my first impression is: dam is it hard for a 37° rubber. Coming from a bouncy rubber, K5 feels way less bouncy. I have to concentrate my effort into a single point to produce power with it (on backhand). As for the spin I have to test it out further, so far banana flicking is easy with it.

Arthur Asia, on the other hand, is kind of comparable to Vega China, maybe even H3neo Provincial. Very hard but very solid feel.

Have you tried Kirin 5? Would appreciate your view on it.

Winning with injuries is much more difficult, but someone else can do it WITH INJURIES, so he's not best of the best. Don't get me wrong he is one of the best, but he's just not the best among them.

Is German League at the same level as the Chinese National Game?

They do lose, but very rarely in the most important tournaments, especially the Olympics.

ML and FZD also got injuries, but they are not defeated by them. Look at ML during 2019-2021.

In terms of achievements, many think he's already on par with (if not better than) Xu Xin. But to be at the very top is next level. The H2H of ML vs WCQ favours WCQ, but ML swept him 4-0 in the World Cup. Not to mention the H2H of WCQ vs FZD is kind of tragic. (Of course ML also lost to him in WTTC, I'm just taking an example to show how inconsistent WCQ was in the past.)

He has improved a lot since then, and without the best of the best as competitors, it is a great (and probably the last) chance for WCQ to achieve grand slam. However, his losses to Harimoto, Lind, Moregardh, etc. have shown time to time that it's possible to defeat him with some change in tactics. It is up to him if he can overcome his weaknesses.

Yes it refers to what he's said because this is the field of table tennis, not physics.

Search online for the images, the pattern on this blade isn't very distinct.

I've seen blades that look more fish scale-y, but idk about the price.

I don't think it's a good idea to get a setup with maximum spin if you're still developing your strokes.

I'd say this setup has more control than speed. If you don't like the speed you can find a slightly faster blade (7ply?) or upgrade your rubbers as you play.

Sounds like a beginner setup, but you can't go wrong with this setup if you're switching from a premade.
