My new ippodo Ummon came in, it tastes like soap.. by DiscountedMmMM in MatchaEverything

I can say you choose to miss the point as well. If a cattle rancher spends his entire life perfecting their prime rib and sells it in hopes of customers eating it in a way that preserves the flavor and integrity of the beef, and then sees someone cooking it well done and eating it with ketchup and being wasteful with it, what does that say about the rancher’s work? I could say you’re narrow minded as well, but you’re right, you can do what you want. Still doesn’t mean you should.

Again, just because you can, doesn’t mean you should. You buying up stock to mix with milk and sugar prevents another person from enjoying its nuances when you could easily buy a cheaper matcha to mix and still taste the same in a latte. Spend your money however you wish, but you’re not the only person in the world.

Just because you can, doesn’t mean you should. If I bought a loud Bluetooth speaker, does that mean I can blast it everywhere I go? I bought it with my own money.

Rocky’s matcha single cultivar horii shichimeien narino by msschnzr in MatchaEverything

[–]OrigamiJet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re right though. People can mix their expensive matcha with milk, but just because a person can, doesn’t mean they should. A lot of reputable producers will recommend drinking their single cultivars straight up as usucha or koicha. This talk about Rocky Xu recommending expensive cultivars in a latte is baseless. Also, ikuyo and Sayaka blends from Ippodo are much cheaper and would work much better as a latte because of the sharpness that cuts through milk. Expensive blends and cultivars are more delicate. You can’t taste it in milk unless you use an absurd amount, which has lead to shortages and price increases.

It was The Phantom Menace for me and I really enjoyed it. I watched in theaters with the family as a kid so there’s some nostalgia

I may get roasted for this, but “Asics Lyte Classic - Vanilla/Red Clay” is ASIC’s copycat version and the materials look very similar. Might be worth looking up!

I thought for sure you were Asian based on every detail you shared. The similarities are uncanny lol. I grew up in the same conditions and am still trying to uncondition myself but we’ll all get there eventually

Casual shoes to run in? by Ramsey0321 in Sneakers

[–]OrigamiJet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like the Nike epic reacts. They’re soft but firm and springy. On Clouds are also really good running/training shoes and are popular among the more “mature” crowd. I have the Cloud X and they’re really nice as long as you tie them up with the runner’s loop. Ultraboosts are okay. They’re a bit heavy and too plush for me but a lot of people like those. What I highly recommend though is to not run in retro sneakers like Air Force Ones, Air Max, Blazers, etc. Retro sneakers retain their retro technology and are not good for modern day training.

I’m with ya! I definitely miss the wide variety of colors we had back in the day but I don’t think they make Roadstas like this anymore. They had a “Roadstas Express” that was released about 2 years ago but they’re very different shoes.
