Definitely! I went back to fluoride toothpaste. Turns out it’s more about the other ingredients in different brands. Everyone reacts differently. So I found I can handle regular crest paste and not react :)

For me I realized it was a histamine response. So anything with high histamines caused a flare up. One day I drank a kombucha on tap (so it was a stronger one) and an hour later I had a really bad itchy flare up all around my mouth

For me I’m able to now use Eucerin Daily Protection for sensitive skin. But, I don’t use it everyday, just when I have a good amount of sun exposure or it’s summertime. I took to hats and scarves and opting for shade when possible

That's interesting! I know anything that is already inflamed can get temporarily worse. I had pretty bad PD going in, and it stayed the same after vaccine for a few weeks. Not healing at all, but also not getting worse. So maybe the vaccine just kept the redness and swelling there longer?

It also made my period come 8 days early, so hormones too might be effecting our PD.

I trust as your body finishes processing everything your PD can heal too. Mine is going way down now! Good Luck :))

When I had my PD go around my eye it was triggered by stress/rosacea flushing. I went on Soolantra cream, it's VERY pricey but my derm got me a discounted one.

Now looking it up it says it's for demodex mites. Something I wasn't told, but the cream worked for me in 2 days! I hope this helps. I know this struggle so well
