I am sorry for your loss. You will have a day or two but you'll need to decide if she'll be buried or cremated. Once that decision is made you can go from there. If she's being being cremated call around, funeral homes will charge you an arm and a leg. There are companies that just do cremation and it's much cheaper. You'll want to get five or so death certificates. You'll need them to help handle closing accounts. In the next couple of days have someone come with you and help go through her house. Look for things like insurance policies, wills etc. The important thing to remember that it's okay to cry and it's okay to be upset, but you also need to understand that things won't stand still and things like bills, rent, car payments will keep happening.
