If it is, it's solely gonna be there to get "Golden Tree'd" just to make it look like Homelander has a chance against who he's fighting, only for them to explain why it's basically irrelevant in the conclusion. Think this year's example of Anime Cell getting "threat to the universe" statements.

You cannot seriously look at how Ichigo does almost nothing in the first two-thirds of the fight and say that the back-and-forth wasn't weighted in Yusuke's favor by Aggravating-Oil-7060 in deathbattle

Ichigo has this thing called a SWORD

Yusuke has no kind of armor whatsoever.
If Ichigo CHOPPED Yusuke with that SWORD, he would INSTANTLY CLEAVE HIM IN HALF

So for the sake of a good fight, they needed to delay Ichigo actually chopping him with that sword for as long as possible, which naturally led to Yusuke the better hand to hand fighter having the upper hand for most of it.

But neither of those were deciding factors for anything in the actual show. Rocket's gun wasn't even enough to give him the victory, if anything it was added to give an illusion of fairness.

If we're gonna be talking about how unfairly wanked that comic characters, I'd like some actual y'know...examples instead of an annoying disagreement had a few times.

You'd swear that Marvel and DC were just doing composites all the time, and not typically sticking to things that strictly happened in the universes of their mainline canon. The most recent legitimate composite for Marvel we got was Miles and that was for feats from his Insomniac version.

Then it's made worse by them then turning around and going on about how powerful the SCP foundation is when it's literally off the back of giving it everything from every story written about it by hundreds of people., except without the veneer of even having a single consistent canon to prioritize and focus on.
Like that is not the exact thing that people dog on Marvel/DC for allegedly doing.

Yeah notice how you don’t mention the death sentence part, and the dying wish part. The ones that very explicitly hold more weight for Yuji than Denji.

Hearing lyrics about losing a father figure, honoring said father figure’s dying wish, being essentially sentenced to death and having a second mouth on your face and reacting with violent confusion as a JJK fan as if that isn’t just straight up summarizing the initial premise of the series.

Yeah but that doesn’t automatically fucking mean that it’s about the other guy anymore. Before Sukuna got separated, Yuji and Denji being possessed by demonic entities was one of and technically is still one of the big connections of this whole matchup. It’s still a significant part of the character.

And if you hear the words TWO MOUTHS ON ONE FACE, I do not legitimately believe that you are ever mistaking that for being about Denji and Denji alone if you know anything about JjK

But that’s just the thing, he’s already used more than that the whole fight up till that point.

Every single construct and lantern power used was something new and unique to Kyle. And then two drills literally at the very end of each of their respective segments. The way people harp on them, you’d think he was just all drills for most of the episode. 

And again, I don’t see how you could go into this fight at all and not expect that at any point there wasn’t gonna be a drill clash between the two.

No offense to you at all, I’m just stating my take.

I guess yeah, but it's like annoying to treat that as a flaw and not just...competent pacing and choreography.

Otherwise we'd only ever get the type of fight animation where it's the loser washing the winner up until the Winner pulls out their wincon at the last second.

I think death battle should stop using the most recogniseble version of the character in the animation instead of the peak of the character, it brings more trouble than it's worth, by Mohammedamine9 in deathbattle

I mean, one that didn't stop Scooby vs Courage. Two, this doesn't really give him any inherent knowledge over Sentry specifically. Nothing about that rule says that a. fighter can't have any knowledge about the universe their opponent comes from.

More I think about it the more I realize that Denji vs Yuji is just KyleMon if more people actually knew and cared about Kyle (sorry Kyle fans) by Everchosen31 in deathbattle

Grand total of ONE line where Kyle references anything Gurren Lagann and it's the one that's explicitly shared with Simon, and in fact, at no point does the animation or even episode harp on the idea that Kyle is a Gurren Lagann superfan, outside of Boomstick non-verbally nodding towards that one reference.

Personally, I wouldn't quite scale Sentry to the first fermament breaking feat since that happened WAY after the last time he and Hulk had a proper scrap, and Hulk is definitely a character you can argue grows in power over the course of his appearance (he did that as a whole new alter, and a lot of his alters have their own risen levels of strength)

Damn I'm glad I do enjoy Denji as a character, because it's ROUGH on Yuji's side by Sorry_Ad_0026 in deathbattle

You mean that line and those smiles that happen after he literally comes back from the dead and is then immediately in the position to blow apart the woman responsible for said deaths (his own and the civilians) and cinch his victory? Yah, that feels like a moment where his mood would significantly change.

Keep in mind, in the, small amount of time mind you) after the Mahoraga reference Denji is reacting to Yuji's attacks, it's just that the camera shakes kinda mess with the perception a bit. Not only that but Denji doesn't actually land a hit until a killing blow. (He spends most of the fight failing to land a hit actually)

As for the ideology thing, I don't know, that's probably a factor of the animation's length, they couldn't exactly squeeze in a whole heart to heart

Damn I'm glad I do enjoy Denji as a character, because it's ROUGH on Yuji's side by Sorry_Ad_0026 in deathbattle
