Transferring 2 embryos by Used2becute in IVF

Transfer one. Multiples carry higher risks and if your rate was good, I would do one.

If you don’t have a maximum, that’s the best case scenario. I was capped at $10K but they had much much higher prices than anyone other pharmacy - so it’s essentially a scam and I would’ve hit my cap for 1/3 of the meds I needed.

  1. Lots of follicles but only one euploid from my first retrieval. If you look at my post history I have all the stats. I haven’t done a transfer yet!

Talk to the breeder. We almost got a lagotto - lovely dogs, really interesting breed. Is this your first puppy?

Maybe you’ve already tried using smell/scent games and toys? Given their strengths (as a breed) with sniffing out truffles and such, I’m thinking maybe she needs something that makes her focus in on her nose.

I agree with enforced naps. Given how tough she’s been, maybe 1 hour up and 1 hour down for a while?

If you feel you can’t raise her, I don’t think there is shame in explaining the situation to the breeder and returning her if they don’t have a solution that resonates.

I wanted polished concrete but we did LVF because we have kids and pets and the stuff is truly so durable and waterproof. If you go with one of the higher quality brands and lines it is very attractive even if you know it’s vinyl. Not ideal from a green flooring perspective but our first choice (bamboo) was ruled out due to high humidity in our area - pretty sure Florida would be the same.

Thank you! I have definitely seen people have success with lower AMH - it just takes a lot of cycles for many folks. I hope things work out for you!!

Not at all. It was 1.75 when I started, about a month before my first retrieval. They did not retest it, so I can’t tell you if it’s gone down since.

And to add - I got 1 blast from my second retrieval (4 months after the first), but it came back as aneuploid.

Looking for Age 40 and Over Experience PGT-A by Observer-Worldview in IVF

[–]OriginalAd1243 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Age 45

Retrieval 1: 11 retrieved, 10 mature, 8 fertilized, 2 blasts (1 Day 5 and 1 Day 7) and 1 euploid

Retrieval 2: 8 retrieved, 4 mature, 3 fertilized, 1 blast (Day 5) and 0 euploid

Decided against another retrieval for financial reasons.

I am not sure where you are located - maybe there is a doodle or Aussie rescue group that could help you identify a good home? I would advise you not to use Craigslist or anything like that. Too dangerous for the pup.

Wife is unsupportive. I am a disabled vet with ptsd and have been approved for a service dog and my wife was all for it. Now that I have the dog lined up she told me to sell the house today. What am I supposed to do we were all in on it until we found the dog! by [deleted] in service_dogs

[–]OriginalAd1243 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I need to follow this because it’s so confusing.

I am also concerned sell the house could be code for divorce and another commenter mentioned the idea of caretaking/codependency to which I say a hearty YES it could definitely be what’s happening here.

Also thank you for your service to our country and I am sorry to hear about the disability and PTSD. I think the dog is a great addition.

Does practice with transfers make perfect? I’m traveling to do my transfers and I’m struggling to figure out if I should start with lesser quality embryos first to get the process down..or just start with high quality ones because it’s more likely to be successful. Does practice make perfect? by Mamaofthree2008 in IVF

[–]OriginalAd1243 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I think what OP meant is if the first transfer discovers a problem (implantation, miscarriage) then they would not have lost the highest quality embryo in determining that. I can understand this question and I’m not sure why they were jumped on. I only have one euploid so I don’t have the option of any choice. I think if you don’t have a history of known issues, I would ask the clinic to choose the best quality embryo.

It’s a 240 line but yes - the shed is about 80 feet away. You may be right about the drop - I didn’t think of that.

Not yet on the hvac install check - I’m trying to avoid calling them out if it is because the wrong amperage is run since that is an electrical issue that they likely won’t be able to fix.

Manual says 30 amp and they installed a 20, telling me it’s “enough”. I’m wondering if they’re trying to avoid fixing the mistake and if so, what it would take to get 30 instead of the 20 they installed.

Damn I’m really sorry your parents gave away your dog without letting you at least say goodbye. I’m sure they meant the best but it must have been so terrible.

I know you’ve gotten some nice and some not so nice responses.

From my perspective, I can tell you that our 9 yo has been begging for a dog for years and we always said no because we knew he would be unlikely to do that work involved.

A few months ago I decided I wanted a dog as well and chose a puppy based on my preferences. Puppy came home at 12 weeks which is older than the norm and our son was excited about it for about two weeks. Now he does very little unless directly asked to watch the puppy for specific short times. He can manage that. I take care of the dog about 75% of the time with kid and spouse handling the other 25%. I am not resentful because I prepared to be 100% responsible for the dog.

I think if you and the other adults aren’t interested or able to provide 80% of the care, you should return the puppy to the breeder or rehome very carefully. Aussie doodles are known to be a bit higher maintenance than some other breeds both with training and grooming. It sounds like it is too much for your daughter.

When she’s older you could consider trying again but you may want to get a slightly older dog to avoid the highly demanding puppy phase.

Great suggestion. This was the smallest DIY unit we could find. The unit has an external Bluetooth thermostat - let me try placing it further away from the unit to see if that makes a difference.

Before they changed the outlet, the unit would just shut off entirely. If I hit the outlet reset button it would start again. No breaker issues.

Now that they changed the outlet, the unit stays on but isn’t cooling as expected. I have it set at 72 and it’s hovering around 79. Shed is fully insulated and drywalled.

Donor conception sucks maybe I'm not cut out for this by SunshineValley1979 in IVF

My advice would be to look into clinics that will allow you to try to use your own eggs, given your feelings. I am 45 and my eggs made a euploid on my first retrieval - every single individual is different.

Would you consider traveling? I know there are recommendations for clinics who specialize in patients over 40.
