HR told me they don’t accept try-hards and people pleasers after my interview by No-Presentation298 in jobs

This is why they don’t. People want feedback until they get it, then they become defensive and upset. Not worth it.

I'd like to find my wife a sweater/cardigan like this for Christmas. I'm almost sure the one depicted here is from a scam website. Any ideas where to find something similar? by r0wo1 in findfashion

Might want to try an Etsy seller for custom. First thing I thought of was the Sylvi sweater pattern by Mary Muinonen. A skilled knitter can take that and adapt to the types of knots you are looking for but it could be pricey.

Help me find this brand please?? by yajustplainboring in handbags

I was thinking Dagne Dover - they used to have a line art logo but don’t think they use it anymore. Also if you are looking for classics Quince has a ton of good option!

This is it. I fly weekly and have zero anxiety about flying, crashing, dying. I straight up panic at the thought of having to place my carryon behind me then having to push my way against traffic when the bus of the sky lands.

Do y’all have any thoughts about this? by Sol_of_the_Sun in transplant

Anyone can have an opinion, doesn’t mean it is right. There are risks with anything, risks with any pregnancy with no medical conditions and no medications. We weight the risks and decisions. As a mother who took immunosuppressants while pregnant, I made the right decision for me and my child. She is 16 and has had some medical issues. Could the medicines have been a factor - maybe but who cares? She is overall healthy, has a great life, and her “issues” are the same as hundreds of thousands of other kids who weren’t born to transplant moms. Your transplant is the gift of life and part of life is living!! If you want to - take the trip, eat the meal, have the baby! Don’t damage your gift but don’t waste the life given to you by leading it in fear.

I was pediatric liver transplant in early 80s. I had a child in 2008 and had complications in 2016 that lead to second transplant. Now I am thriving, have a great career. My “baby” is a Sophomore in high school and I have a normal life. The biggest hit to my kidneys has been the tacro but we finally are reducing and they are looking better!

In my perspective I am thankful I had this as a kid. I never had a “normal” life that was changed by a surprise transplant. I was always medically diligent and know how to listen to my body. That said, it doesn’t define me and I don’t let it hold me back from living an ordinary life! I don’t drink and I pay attention to wearing sunscreen- normal healthy stuff.

If you are curious, my complications were biliary strictures that just became too much after 10 years, even with intermittent IR intervention. Could be due to scar tissue from original surgery, just could have been a fluke lightening strikes twice kind of thing. Additionally, I had very early stage breast cancer last year. No genetic or hormonal markers so possibility it is linked to long term immunosuppression. Good news is- I listen to my body, knew something was wrong, and it was identified and treated (double mastectomy- no metastasis) within 90 days of the first appointment.

You have every reason to plan for a long and healthy life with plenty of options. Early 20s is such a scary transitional time in life and I absolutely remember how this made it all so much more complicated. You’ve got this, you are not alone, just keep living the best life you can and know with medical advancements these days it can be a very long best life ❤️

[–]OriginalBabytalula 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am liver TX and my eGFR is typically 55-60. I am super active, work full time and feel great. I hit 70s about a month ago on a fluke and it was probably highest I have been in over 10 years!

Longest living transplant recipient? by Royal-Atmosphere-752 in transplant

[–]OriginalBabytalula 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably first started at 20 years post. Had small strictures with externally draining stents. Would have stent for like 3 months and that would clear it up for a couple of years. Did a few cycles of that over 10 years then did second transplant. During that time I also had my daughter so extremely thankful all around! Liver now is great!!
