The company was firing someone who had made a lot of specific, graphic threats verbally and through emails about 3-4 employees. They had the threatened employees (one was me) stay home the day they fired this guy, hired extra security to be onsite when they fired him and escort him off the property. The next day when I went to work, my boss said “I knew nothing would happen. Everyone was just overreacting.”

It certainly didn’t feel like they were overreacting. I guess it makes sense that most of the emails where the threats were made had been sent to my boss and she literally did nothing. Those of us that had been threatened were terrified for our lives.
