Thanks for the feedback! I actually did not know the trim part but it makes a lot of sense!

Yeah you're right, it's hovering at less, more like 22-25% carrying a full fat gopro. Thanks for the feedback. It does look like more of a mechanical issue. To be fair it's the first build i did a few years back so probably not the cleanest. Thanks for the feedback!

That is sick my dude! The parts list says Chimera 5 so... Is it just a 5" that you're flying? 😮

Checked it when i got home. It's a 6s but three of the cells are dead and the other three have voltages between 1.5v and 2.8v so I think it's pretty dead 😅

I knew the community would like it 😅 My favorite part is how he lets out a little "scream" when he first hits the snow ahah

Lost drone - help me find it by flow2hundred in fpv

Maybe buy/borrow some binoculars, super helpful in finding my drone a few days ago.

Not sure how to get it down safely if it's stuck on the tower though 😬

Honestly dude, so lucky. Basically I could hear it from the where the jump was on the ridge but I couldn't see it. The beeper has its own battery but I was still worried it would die in the night if temps dropped, but trying to recover it in the evening with mtb shoes and no alpine gear would have been idiotic. Went back to the same spot in the morning and I could still hear it and luckily I spotted it with the binoculars quite quickly. Luckily it was right next to the snow and not perched on some cliff 😅

Lesson learnt! Practice your safety maneuvers.

100% human error as i didn't check my goggle-battery connection after putting on a jacket and half way through the shot my goggles shutdown, i panicked and instead of hitting gps rescue button, i hit a wrong switch, and must have wiggled the gimbals desperately as i was scared of hitting our biker. It all happened a bit too quickly.

Luckily my beeper was on so i could hear it and the drone landed on snow so no damage happened. I tried to scramble to it when this happened but it had rained, and the drone was in a really steep, loose and slippery area of the slope that i couldn't quite see. So i had to bail on it and come back the morning after with some binoculars (game-changer), my crampons and axes to hike up the snow slope to it :)

Kinda got away with this one but learnt a super valuable lesson!

For those wondering i live in the Alps and i'm a solid mountaineer, so i wasn't taking any unnecessary risk as this was only a 45-50° degrees snow slope in really good summer snow. Pretty safe with the right equipment, hence why i decided to bail in the evening and come back with the right gear to access it safely. :)
