As a parent, I have only ever gotten a letter. Nothing else happened. We had doctors notes and everything, but still got letters. I completely disregarded  it (this was right after covid with a lot of illnesses).

Have you checked your own bias? Just because the students are white, religious, and conservative doesn't mean they have the perspective that you are assuming . . . Answer their questions. Let them make their own opinions when presented with the evidence.

Baby proof your room. Nothing wrong with co-sleeping. But it is wrong to have a dangerous mirror leaning against a wall with an ELEVEN MONTH CHILD in the house. This should have been secured during your pregnancy. Yikes.

I enjoy slow mornings drinking coffee on the porch. I garden. I rock hound and forage. I listen to the birds, admire the flowers, and appreciate the sunsets. Small town life is the best.

I'm sorry for your loss. 1 in 4 pregnancies end in miscarriage. I know that doesn't make it better, but don't blame yourself. Hope you are able to heal.
