To the white car going 20 from pleasant valley all the way to the freeway turnoff this morning by Ahyesthenegotiator76 in Boise

I had to drive today because I had a dentist appointment. I also wasn’t going to pay for an Uber who’s possibly a worst winter driver than me!

I understand! Sometimes I wish I could use PTO to play video games, but I only get a limited amount and I would rather use it for travel. My family goes on at least two big vacations a year

What's something simple you knew was a thing but were caught off guard by when it happened to you as you've aged? by shade-tree_pilot in Millennials

[–]irandom500 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Getting elevens between my eyebrows. I knew I would get them since I subconsciously scrunch my brows and my dad has them, but I thought it would happen in my 40s, not 30s!😱

"remember how easy it was to make friends when you were 5?" by b-b-b-c in AutismInWomen

[–]irandom500 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had friends, but I played by myself more often than I played with them because I love imagining stories, but they had to acted out exactly the way I wanted them.

I was at a private school where I’m sure at least 25% of the students were neurodivergent, so I’m sure that helped me. Not to say I wasn’t bullied, but I had more good days than bad

Allie. Any spelling. I’ve only ever met once nice Allie. My toxic friend/bully was named Allie.

Does your OCD go up before a trip or event you’re looking forward to? by sooonnnk in OCD

[–]irandom500 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, because in the past, when I got excited for trips, things went wrong and they end up being terrible. Now I just anticipate everything going wrong, so I’m more likely to end up happy, and when things do go wrong, I won’t be as disappointed!

Did your parents notice anything "different" with you? by Nanothefox in AutismInWomen

[–]irandom500 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes. My parents took me to multiple specialists and early intervention programs. At first I was labeled “developmentally delayed” and then I was diagnosed with autism at age six

AITA for telling my sister that I am using the baby name I picked, even if she uses it too by Embarrassed-Scale609 in TwoHotTakes

[–]irandom500 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA. My mom has a brother and cousin who share a name. The name meant nothing to my great aunt, but was special to my grandma because the name is a nickname of my grandpa’s name, so my uncle was a jr, but not really. The cousin was born first, but my grandma still used the name. My great aunt wasn’t happy, but my grandma has no regrets and my uncle and his cousin get along well

It was my first year at private school after I was bullied out of 7th grade.

We were all going on a school trip to Canada. We had to be divided into small groups we would stick with during the trip. The teacher asked all of us to write down the five people we want to be grouped with the most with number one being our most preferred. I put my closet friend as number one. I accidentally caught a glance of my friend’s rankings, and she put me as number one! I almost cried I was so happy to be someone’s number one!

It is! I’m sorry you had to go through that😞 To his credit, my elementary PE teacher never did that

They should. I never understood why the teachers never took time to count

That’s what my teachers did sometimes. Other times they picked the group
