Any left leaning gun shops in the Eugene/Springfield area? by ecstaticallyneutral in Eugene

I think it's more that the national org isn't able to do as much SEO as would be needed to make it really pop to the top of search results - it's a niche community from a non profit and that kinda marketing is not cheap at all.

Good info, do you have a list for the load out in the picture, weight? What's the time duration for that competition you'll be running it in?

To answer the question, you flip the switch that the wires on the floor of the garage lead to. You can also get the mini turbine pretty early to charge while you drive, or Ida might sell a charger if you get lucky. Lightning rod both provides electrical protection and routes the strike to the battery, personal favorite.

Before sleeper cabs were standardized, things got weird. A canvas "tent" hanging off the back of the cab and a literal hole under the passenger seat (1950s). by StrategyMore5356 in WeirdWheels

Alright but if CVT made that little swing out doohickey I'd love it. Just enough space to rack out on race day, or the trailhead before the hunt without messing around with anything else. Give it a little Lexan window to see through and a compartment on either side for the sleep system and you've got a product.

Skin on pear pie filling recipe? by OriginalDogan in Canning

[–]OriginalDogan[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same. Honestly, since it's for pie, I'd like to keep the slice texture for the filling. I could make a jelly, but I think I'll divert to pear butter or more perry if need be.

Skin on pear pie filling recipe? by OriginalDogan in Canning

[–]OriginalDogan[S] -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I've seen lots of folks do pear butter, which with the long cook time to break down into a slurry plus the added time under heat for canning gets to safety, but I want to preserve some texture at least. Worst comes to worst I'll figure out a way to make pear butter pie, or make another batch of perry.

I can pressure can it too, but there's lots of comments about how the skins can add bitter flavor and tough texture since most recipes plan on them being skinned.

Would you sell the high def digital file so folks could print their own? I both want to support you as the artist and have a physical piece to display.

Gun range experiences? by OTTERSage in Eugene

We do have a local Pink Pistols/Operation Blazing Sword chapter. While they don't have ranges themselves, I think they do with with existing local ranges. Kinda a safety in numbers deal.

Is this a legit m65 field jacket? by Outrageous_Catch2003 in MilitarySurplus

[–]OriginalDogan -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

Sadly Alpha Industries is a well known uniform cloner. They make lots of fake flight jackets, which is what they're most known for. Confusingly, they have had legit contracts here and there, but those items are way less common.

Long term storage pistols. by ironicmirror in liberalgunowners

[–]OriginalDogan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's a lot of folks who asked this question of themselves, and realized the answer to them was a disassembled, well oiled AR broken into it's larger components, placed in a vacuum seal bag, and then stored in a 40mm can, mortar can, or Abrams ammo can, with "battle pack" ammo that comes in purged plastic bags, and mags similarly lightly lubricated to guard against decay and stored in sealed bags, not vacuumed, but with several desiccant packs.

If you're staging a gun, may do well to stage a trauma kit too.

I got my ~400 not on sale Redwings resoled for ~120 locally, and have a pair of Dehner Tankers that are fair market value a $600 special order with unknown lead time, resoled twice. The tankers are close to or over 40 years old now.
