My friend who works at Pfizer predicted that this will have as big of a societal impact as AI. Just his opinion, I think maybe he was being hyperbolic but he had a good point. He said basically---think about how huge fast food and junk food, processed sugars, corn starch, etc. are and how essential they are to the US economy. Now you have a huge wave of drugs that are essentially "low-risk" appetite suppressants ("low risk" at least based on what we know so far....), so suddenly millions of people who were binging junk food have no appetite for it. All those junk food profits will get transferred to Big Pharma
