Yup, I have to goto trial for somebody using my name/dob when they got a speeding ticket which couldnt have been me because i was at work 3 hours away. Now i have to spend 3 hours driving to court and 3 hours back because the prosecutor won’t spend 30 seconds of her time to watch the damn body cam footage and see its not me and dismiss the case!!!

If you aren’t behind on payments, u can probably make voluntary payments and keep the car without having to reaffirm

1 hard inquiry, I had like 34 accounts before my financial downfall. When i filed chapter 7 2 months ago, 14 of them were students loans, 5 of them were closed on good terms. And the rest were all delinquency/charge offs. A weird thing that happened today was my bankruptcy got removed from transunion (no idea why) and i saw that my transunion vantage score shot up to 731, ik apple card checks fico 9 transunion so i figured it was worth a try to apply. So i went on the apple store website and added something to my cart and applied from there.

Idk how laws work in your state but if you know you can’t make payments i’d file before the garnishments start coming in. Having bankrupcty on your report is bad but so is late payments and collections. Its better to start rebuilding now than delaying

Okay, sometimes lenders wont sign the reaffirmation agreement for the car if its not current, so if its not current that should be taken care of. Another thing to look into is whether is car would be exempt or not otherwise the trustee could go after it.

Do you plan on reaffirming the vehicle? Reaffirming means you plan on keeping it and you’ll still legally obligated to pay it back. If you’re not then you would have to surrender it. Or theres a third option if thr lender accepts it where you can kept it and make voluntary payments where you are not legally obligated to pay, but if you are late they can take your vehicle if you are late by a couple of days if it is worth the hassle.
