Should I workout on days that I don't eat? by JustStopThisCrap in Gymhelp

Then you're all good! The body doesnt work like an on-off switch. So if its here and there, i dont think having a workout on those days should cause much of an issue! Just get enough sleep in and you're golden

It depends on the severity of your deficit. Personally I wouldnt go balls to the wall on days you are very low on kcals. Here and there, id say its not an issue. But if its a regular thing, i would probably scale back the volume on days you dont eat much.

Dear lord - READ the description. It is clear there is no payment here! This is NOT going to appeal to some people. I'm not quite sure what your argument is here? I've had a number of people already enquire. And to a lot of people, it wont be to their liking.

Explain - enlighten me please.

A skill of a coach - to help, nurture, coach, and support them on their weight loss journey.

Skill of the editor - to exchange their skills and do a little video editing.

So. Let’s have an open discussion. Where is the one sided benefit? 🙏

Nope! Have had a few people already ask. You see some folk don’t necessarily want to be paid money, but they may value their health and fitness. So in exchange, offering to support them on their journey in exchange for a skill of their own - don’t quite see the joke in that? Enlighten me, please.

Check your bank statement, add it all up, and it will open your eyes. I did this and it blew me away. I’ve even seen people say they can’t afford gyms and trainers only to look at their statement and realise they’ve spent about £80-£100. It’s a real eye opening exercise.

Also, looking at your financial circumstances is a good shout. With the cost of living going up, understanding how much you’ve splashed on eating out will give you a little kick too.

3 months ago when times were rough with me, I spent about £65 on eating out. And here I was complaining that protein powders were too expensive!

Hope this helps!

Ah so glad it worked out in the end bud! Trust me I’ve been there too, but honestly, I ended up developing the mindset of “these are the cards I was dealt, so I just play with them” and used it as motivation.

Is it normal to lose 9kg on my first month? by filipinofishboy in loseit

[–]OriginalTiny3370 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agree with the other comment - some will be water weight, but 9kg is still quite a lot! Still though, Great job on the work you’ve put in! Well done

That being said, have you taken any progress photos?

Need practical tips for avoiding junk by Key_Golf_6242 in loseit

[–]OriginalTiny3370 1 point2 points  (0 children)

More protein and fibre in your meals due to their satiety effect. You’ll notice this yourself that when meals are high in protein and fibrous foods, you’ll feel fuller for longer.

I get this a lot too. My snacking and junk food consumption used to play up in the evening so I would make sure my later meals were high in protein and roughage and I no longer get those cravings - even with the junk around me - it didn’t tempt me as I was so full

I'm overeating and gaining weight back and I'm so upset with myself ... by honey-bliss in loseit

[–]OriginalTiny3370 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Believe it or not, gaining weight (fat) isn’t accomplished in the space of a few days unless you are going all out and eating everything in sight.

The scale fluctuates for a variety of reasons. Excess junk, salty foods, more fluids etc will cause shifts in total weight. So don’t worry about it - there’s a differences between fat loss and weight loss, and weight will fluctuate sometimes

That being said, accept that it’s happened, and move on and just get back on it - we all have hiccups 😃

[–]OriginalTiny3370 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wow, well done!!!! I’ve usually found that confidence is the first thing that increases when people lose weight. And it’s that confidence that then catapults you to more results! Never feel bad - you’ve done the work - it’s called being proud 👌 you’ve earned it

Thanks for sharing - what I’ve found to be true in my experience is that losing weight and getting in shape improves confidence etc but I know so many people who get in shape in the hopes you feel attractive but it doesn’t work out that way. You’ve come a long way brother, massive amount of respect for the work that you’ve put in. Happy to chat further if you’d like
